Joe was something else last night. The ‘cultural’ differences' statement had to be one of the worst statements made by a US president in decades.

You're a sick f*ck if you are twisting that statement to be something it isn't.

They'll deny it and say they didn't mean it like 'that'. But it is the QOP now.

Like that video he was constantly posting, it's yet another disturbing interpretation of something innocent by that particular poster. Very weird behaviour.

What are peoples opinions on Joe Biden saying there was no vaccines when he entered Whitehouse and trumps response on news max interview.

Biden, asked about combating COVID, told host Anderson Cooper: 'It's one thing to have the vaccine - which we didn't have when we came into office - but a vaccinator: How do you get the vaccine into someone's arm?'

    Trumps response:

We were giving millions of shots, millions of doses,' said Trump on Wednesday, speaking by phone to host Greg Kelly.

'So he was either not telling the truth or he's mentally gone. One or the other.

'Joe Biden's being killed on that thing. Even the haters said, well wait a minute, this vaccine was announced long before

Trump pointed out that Biden himself was vaccinated before his January 20 inauguration.

'Long before January 20,' said Trump..

I think Donald Trump shouldn't have said he was mentally gone but Biden was wrong in what he said.

Its early days but President Biden seems like he could be a liability when having to speak for the Democrats.

Except that's a modified quote, the actual quote is

"By the end of July of this year. We have — we came into office, there (were) only 50 million doses that were available. We have now — by the end of July, we’ll have over 600 million doses — enough to vaccinate every single American."

So you just posted tripe which was a heavily modified quote that you either knowingly lied about or fell for... So which is it?

What is it with Trump supporters that they need to post Lies to try discredit Biden?

Trump should let things go, get behind the new POTUS.

It does nothing for unity to be bashing Biden.

Or find actual semi-competent sources in the first place?

to be clear, cos i fell into the fox news tripe (maybe), did he say:

"but when you and I talked last, we talked about — it’s one thing to have the vaccine, which we didn’t have when we came into office, but a vaccinator — how do you get the vaccine into someone’s arm? So you need the paraphernalia. You need the needle, and you need mechanisms to be able to get it in. You have to have people who can inject it into people’s arms."

Yes. He is correctly stating that it's not only having enough vaccines that's the issue, but you also have to have enough paraphernalia and vaccinators too, and he has therefore issued an executive order allowing former retired docs and nurses to administer the vaccine.

i'm confused. did he or did he not say that there were no vaccines when he came into office?

now, maybe my grasp of the english language is diminishing, but it certainly sounds and reads like that is what he said.

How on Earth did you read that article and come to that conclusion? :pac:

Perhaps have another read, you can even just read the bits in bold.

"And the biggest thing, though, as you remember when you and I — no, I shouldn’t say it that way, "as you remember" — but when you and I talked last, we talked about — it’s one thing to have the vaccine, which we didn’t have when we came into office, but a vaccinator — how do you get the vaccine into someone’s arm? what is bolded, is bolded in the article. here's a screenshot that i went to the trouble of putting on imgur:

Perhaps try reading the article again, this time focusing on everything that's in bold.

How does that mean they don't have vaccines? Straight after he states this... Basic point is that they had to get more people to administer vaccines as they have a surplus of vaccines.... Honestly the points you guys think you are making are ridiculous... :pac:
Biden: "Yes, now we have — we have made significant strides increasing the number of vaccinators. I’ve — I issued an executive order allowing former retired docs and nurses to do it. We have over 1,000 military personnel. The CDC is — I mean, excuse me, the — we have gotten the National Guard engaged."

i've read the bits in bold.

we came into office, there (were) only 50 million doses that were available.

there was nothing in the refrigerator, figuratively and literally speaking, and there were 10 million doses a day that were available.

when you and I talked last, we talked about — it’s one thing to have the vaccine, which we didn’t have when we came into office, but a vaccinator — how do you get the vaccine into someone’s arm? So you need the paraphernalia. You need the needle, and you need mechanisms to be able to get it in. You have to have people who can inject it into people’s arms."

lets take the top line, 50 millions doses available. lets assume thats true.

now the bottom paragraph....what is he saying we didnt have?

i've tried reading that different ways, but he is saying there were no vaccines when he came into office - what else is he saying here?

if both points are true, please reconcile them for me, cos i cant.

When he is saying he did not have the vaccine when he came into office, he is making the same statement he said earlier, namely that there were no vaccines in the refrigerator when he came into office, i.e. there was no backlog.

I'm not quite sure how you are getting confused by that.

The reserve of vaccines that the public were told were there by the Trump team, actually were not there. You know you to complain about.

In relation to the backlog, that was in relation to the reserve supply of the vaccine being used up in terms of allocation.

I'm not quite sure how you are getting confused by that.

i'll concede the point and say thats its a minor thing - just vaccinate people is the end goal.

but i will say, he needs to be more clear with his words. ask any bystander what the following means:

we came into office, there (were) only 50 million doses that were available.

there was nothing in the refrigerator, figuratively and literally speaking, and there were 10 million doses a day that were available.

when you and I talked last, we talked about — it’s one thing to have the CLAP, which we didn’t have when we came into office, but a vaccinator — how do you get the vaccine into someone’s arm? So you need the paraphernalia. You need the needle, and you need mechanisms to be able to get it in. You have to have people who can inject it into people’s arms."

i changed that. now reading that, does it read like we had the clap or not? it sounds/reads to me like we didnt have the clap.
