Scouting For Girls - This Ain't A Love Song

The singer isn't great is he? Not impressed with the vocals here. Sounds like a b-side from The Script. Even the strings later on in the song aren't doing it for me.

Used to love the Wildhearts, haven't listened to them in ages :)

The first album is an absolute classic. Pop melodies, causticly hillarious lyrics and crunching guitars. Still sounds great to my ears.

Fantastic song and excellent karaoke material. If The Cure had more upbeat songs like this I'd be a big fan but they're few and far between.

I'd forgotten how awesome that Kate Bush song is. Wooah, what a tune.

Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name

Have I listened to this artist before? Yes
Have I listened to this song before? Yes

A prime example of 80's rock. Those airy synths beginning at the 1:30 mark irk me, they don't belong in a rock song and this is why me and 80's rock will never get along. And what the hell is that solo at 2:28, the whammy bar effect made me violently ill. Bon Jovi give Rock a bad name.

My favourite Bruce song. It always cheers me up. I actually entered this for a Walrus before, it came 9th but now I decide how it fares mwahaha!

Who's in first? Foghorn F**king Foggerty and the Sh*twater Revival?

Could be worse Kol, you could be sitting here knowing a song in another category is going to do terribly.

Didn't like anything about this, sorry. Haven't a clue what the singer is saying. Lots of distortion and screaming. It sounds like some loose spoons and forks in a washing machine at parts. Not for me.

Thank heavens for small mercies... :D

Can't fault your top spot actually, and Friday I'm In Love is one of the few Cure songs I actually like, so I may have over-reacted a bit there to the auld Top 5... ;)

Ha, I thought it would be a load of heart-string tuggers so I wanted to choose something to cut through the treacle.
Listening to these guys a good bit lately on YT.

80s industrial/synthwave from former Yugoslavia. They really grow on you :)

Good winning song, after winning lavars TV walrus I think I might end up with the wooden spoon in this game, I don't have faith in my selections

My third song is quite a scratchy song too. I don't feel so bad for submitting it now after yours :pac:

I know I have three absolutely amazing songs for this Walrus, but I also think I'll be in contention for the wooden spoon... :D
