That has genuinely got to be at least 4k overpriced

So your saying its only worth a grand or less. Sounds a bit harsh

A member bought a nicer looking example (albeit needing a good bit of work) for, iirc, 900 quid about two years ago.

    Please stop posting Deane motors.

When I see their ads on Donedeal, I just skip over them. First pic is enought to drive on.

Strong money for a non-Cosworth alright.

Looks tidy all the same (apart from the stupid stance and lowering), probably worth about 8-9k.

    Hasn’t even bothered debadging it.
Are they Escort Cossie wheels? Can’t quite place them.

Yeah, Escort Cosworth wheels. Dont suit it at all IMHO.

The high price and still on UK plates. Madness. It is clean but you need to throw a few quid on it just to make it legal. With that price it needs to already be on Irish plates.

Agree, even on the Escort they looked aftermarket.
    A bit bland or something.
Ford were usually pretty good at distinctive wheel design. Even if it was only a plastic cover.

The only wheels that should be on that is proper sapphire cosworth wheels

Kinda, But they would just make the falsehood worse.

Can anyone tell me what a "twin light rear bumper" is?

Ghia and Cosworths have 2 number plate lights, Majority of normal Sierras only have 1.

The 1990 GLX estate I drove had 2 lights, brutal job trying to get a replacement... don't ask:o:o

IMO, the car is worth its weight in scrap.

NCT expired on 29 March 2017, it looks like the car is been driven on a regular basis, so the fact that the NCT has not been kept up to date sets off major alarm bells that the car needs a lot of money pumped into it to pass the test.

Indeed it is a rare car, however if I was after a rare luxury car for 5k, I'd look at this A8 4L V8 Quattro https://bit.ly/2YI0gsq

Surely €9,850 for a Glanza is dreamer territory with no NCT and on uk plates? I have one myself with nct and only 59k miles and was going to sell it but I didn’t think they were worth anything near that.

    I dunno, find another one.

It's not totally unmolested but it does look clean. What would one in from Japan cost you these days?

    Must dust mine off :pac:

Something off about that Glanza, I don't think the ad is real.

    Whopper price though :pac:

I suppose they have definitely gone up in Japan alright. I got one myself in 2008 from Japan I think it was around €4,500 all in back then. Got it going again there recently forgot how fun it is to drive. But 10k seems an awful lot of money for one.

From what I've seen that ad isn't real but to import one you wouldn't be too far from 9k

If the mileage is blank its high mileage, why not be honest! Hate that in a car ad

My favorite is "Just needs a few small bits for the NCT"

Bullsh1t. If they were that small they would either be sorted already, or at least specified in the ad.

Is it not on Irish plates. What does cleared on Irish plate mean?

It means price includes VRT being paid.

I wouldn't give 1k for one. Absolute pig of a thing to drive and wouldn't pull your foreskin back.

In standard guise they aren't extremely fast but accelerate quickly, good craic on a back road, i had a few many moons ago i put a td04 kit on mine and it would throw you back into the seat. In 2013 i sold it for €1650. Id say about 3/4k enough for a decent example and 5k for a minter.

I had a 20v corolla gt fx way nicer car that standard vs a glanza standard no comparison against corolla and corolla much quicker theres a black 20v corolla for sale in limerick at a dealers for 8k ( i only paid €900 for mine at the time in 2012)

Deane motors on the Dermot and Dave show on today FM this morning.
Even not posting them here doesn't mean escaping them

I seen a post on one Facebook group the ad isn't real, the car belongs to someone in the UK I think it was. I have my Glanza going on 7 years now, I just can't bring myself to part with it and mainly because it's standing me about 10k
