Loons who said we had reached herd immunity, the pandemic was over and T-Cells were a big part of that.

    What would call them?

    Apart from wrong.

Well, T cells play a very big part in our immune systems response to a virus so I dunno why you're lumping that in with anything else you deem as a conspiracy.
Buggert’s study in Sweden seems to support this position. Investigating close family members of patients with confirmed covid-19, he found T cell responses in those who were seronegative or asymptomatic.10 While around 60% of family members produced antibodies, 90% had T cell responses. (Other studies have reported similar results.27) “So many people got infected and didn’t create antibodies,” concludes Buggert.

After being tracked for six months, researchers found that every person had detectable T-cell levels, and levels were 50% higher in people who had experienced symptoms at the time of infection.

This could mean that either there will be more protection in people with more severe initial disease, or conversely, that people with asymptomatic disease are able to control the virus with lower levels of T-cells, they said.

There is no science Boggles....that is why you don't have any links....you've been asked for evidence multiple times.

They were provided to you. You didn't read them and dismissed them as "garbage".

I realized that would happen and tried to explain to you in a simpler way, the internet equivalent of using crayons.
No one was recommending severe lockdowns until China locked down last year

Would have been weird if they did considering the virus didn't exist until then.

    I dunno

Just of an example of how you can change what someone is actually saying by just focusing on 2 words.

Maybe go back and read the whole post and stop confusing yourself over your own editing.

    Loving the social distancing here.

Why do people take random examples and apply it to entire work sectors, like police, nurses etc. It's utterly pointless

You said earlier that suggesting that locking up the vulnerable was psychotic but locking up everyone isn't...you are gas...keep them coming Boggles!!!!

    You are a howl!!!!

    Niall Boylan tweeted it today.

But where's the proof that it's recent footage?

Ah yes, berate others for not posting sources and then when someone sends you a source, you retreat back to your usual passive aggressive, pedantic self. Never change Boggs.

Would a fine upstanding presenter like Niall Boylan send out a misleading tweet?
    Yes.

The follow up tweet is pretty funny:

"Listen I don't give a shyte what they do..."

Sure you don't Niall, that's why you're tweeting about it....

Though it could be true to an extent. Perhaps he doesn't care, but just wants to stir things up.

I'm curious to know, given what we were talking about earlier, that having said that you think restrictions are necessary but lockdowns aren't- What do you think we should have done in late December/ late January?

Mate, we eased restrictions for less than a month, resulting in a huge surge and people have been dying at an unprecedented rate for the last month as a direct result.

What more evidence do you need? It's pretty conclusive!

I’m confused about the bit in bold.

You made the statement, can you clarify what you mean

Level 3 is far enough...we should never have gone into level 5 back in Oct/Nov.

Let people take their own precautions after that.

WE shouldn't be even considering anything more strict than level 2 between March and next winter.

That's twice that has been labelled at me today.

    Hyper Sensitive.

Listen I have explained word manipulation and how you have indulged in it to go off on your own tangent.

I can't do much more TBH, As you were.

Great news on the AZ vaccine approval albeit still concerns around supply, no doubt the re open, no more restrictions brigade will be howling for an immediate return to normal (just a reminder of what happened last time we tried that idea) Christmas!!!!!!!!!

    Locked Up / Lockdown.

    They are different.

If you are Locked up, that's your business.

Personally I prefer the term restrictions more descriptive, very few countries had an actual "lockdown".

Tony is only using the pandemic to ban drink.

ICU numbers were only up because we put people in ICU who don't need it was another gem .

    To sum up the rest

1 Covid is worse than the Spanish flu
2 Severe Lockdowns are the only way to save lives
2 Severe Lockdowns don't cost lives
3 Ireland hasn't changed at all since 2019
4 No sympathy for people who are facing serious financial difficulties because they're jobs were going anyway.
5 IT is important not to listen to people who don't agree with you.
6 Children don't really need schools
7 The Elderly are better off never seeing their families than taking a tiny chance that they might get sick.

See how silly these kinds of posts are?

Did you not read my post that you quoted?

I read all of that and noticed that you didn't answer my direct question about what we should have done in late December/early January.

You answered a lot of questions that I didn't ask. I didn't talk about October or March of next year, I asked a direct question, that you seem to have a reluctance to answer:

Given what you have said about the necessity of lockdowns, what do you think we should have done in late December/early January?

the difference is that no one ever said anything in your post, it's a work of complete fiction. whereas everything in my list has been said verbatim many times.
