Big fan of his I am Mellor. Really hope he does well, seems like a gent also.

Hooker also, two sound fellas. Gutted one has to lose.

I know what you mean. Hope it’s a good fight.
Hooker is extremely likeable. Much more so than Izzy.

How the **** did conor get to 145 before. Looks like he couldn't lose anymore weight today at 155

    Ye but who ?
    Conor wasn't offered
    Dustin was offered Conor,
    Hooker took the fight
Tony & Olivera fought last month

So that just leave's Justin Gaethje I can understand why he wouldn't go from title fight to Chandler
The fights weren’t offered in the last few weeks.
Chandler was signed months ago. There would have been fights discussed then.
I took it from Chandlers comments that Conor didn’t turn it down.

    Because he was smaller then.
He’s likely be cutting almost as much these days.

Couldn't agree with this more. Hadn't heard much from Chandler before this week, but he comes across as a really decent guy.

I'm sure I've asked this before, but can't remember.

If you get a PPV on Sky/BT, can you set it to record it?

Can't be doing late nights or super early starts with young kids.

    Yep you can.

In fact, as soon as you purchase it on the Skybox, it automatically sets it to record

Ya if you order on the box, you can record.
If you order online it won’t record apparently. Read that on Sky website.

    Yes..

    I’m still researching it..

I don’t think can get up to watch live, and not risking buying and recording, only for the record to fail..

I'm setting it to record on the two boxes here. Recording with sky can be hit and miss tbh

Hmm never done it before but was thinking about that too. Don’t want to get up Sunday at normal time & find out it hasn’t recorded. Not sure what I’ll do yet.

I haven't bought a ppv in a long time, but if you buy one doesn't the event just automatically repeat on loop for the next 24-72 hours?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,740 ✭✭✭Naos

With regards the presser, Dustin is like that every time whenever he's doing media. He just doesn't seem to like the spotlight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,740 ✭✭✭Naos

Makes no sense to me why they let that go ,

2 nights sleep till the fight night weigh in for this one is kind of pointless,

They didn't let anything go - those are the rules and always have been.

Maybe ya. Think I’ve seen that before.

There is a repeat showing for 12pm. The live show is listed for 1am, so I guess the main event will be around 4pm or 4.30pm.

    I know the rules
I'm just making the points the division is the 155lbs not the 156 lbs
Never made sense why they let them be 1lb over

Best I've seen Conor look physically in a long time. On reflection pre Cowboy fight, he looked a bit worn but he looks healthy, younger and better conditioned.

Two fights in two years does raise question marks however. You can feel a million dollars in camp but you don't know if you still have it until you're in there. As always, we will know early. If he still has the sharp reflexes and pop in his left hand then I think he will get it done fairly quick but I would not be at all surprised if DP drags him deep.

Hope Conor puts on a show and we get to see a rematch vs Khabib.

Just catching up on the Embedded vlogs now. Say what you want about McGregor, he's a funny guy.

"Poor auld Holloway wasn't even on the poster.....he wasn't needed....."

    :pac:

No way …. is that really the rules . I would have never of guessed
I'd have thought they allowed it because it wasn't the rules

I think they traditionally made an allowance for a discrepancy in the scale. 1lb difference for lightweights is a margin for error of less than 0.75% and heavyweights almost half that so I think, for non-title fights, they would give them that allowance.

For title fights they're more strict. If you're the champ, you have to make the allowance for the scale.

    So why bring it up?
