They announced a different name and number to the one actually drawn. I remember seeing a video breaking down how it was done before but can't find it now. It involves having numerous tabs and windows open.

The original video was quite funny, you can hear people gasp in shock when they realized what happened

Did they explain why they didn't award the prize to the number that appeared on one screen, because there was no person for the other ticket number.

McKinneys are running a free competition for anyone who purchased a ticket this year, prize is a mk2 ford escort.

I won 2 prizes in the last few months. 1 from McKinney and one form Rkings. Big money item and a smaller TV/PlayStation bundle. So can say, for me at least, they're both legit.
I also saw the same surname thing on Rkings yesterday. I watched the draw and she had a different surname. It was a copy and paste typo.

If you don't mind me asking how many tickets do you buy per week/month?

I only know a couple who won with r kings (both cars) but from what I can see they enter a serious amount of raffles

I was spending about €20 on lotto.

I just divert it into R Kings now.

Ye in the last month I've done a serious amount of raffles. Lost count tbh.

I started in August. Did the odd raffle here and there. Then I won the first one and kinda went a bit mad for a while. The first one I'd only bought a few tickets (maybe €100 over a cupla months) but that prompted me to start entering a loada raffles. I'd be embarrassed to say how much I've spent on Rkings at this stage, but even with the smaller win, I'm still in the profit by a big margin on Rkings alone. If I never won, you could argue its a gambling problem! :)

I'll keep going until I win another and then I'll consider my position. At the moment, I've made so much that it'd be silly to stop tbh...

Fair play for being so honest about it and it’s great you have won and are up.
I have to admit to buying more tickets than I should too but haven’t won a thing yet but to be honest it’s something to do at the moment. I’ll keep buying tickets for the draws I have an interest in too, there really is very little else to do at the moment.

They had another up there recently, I also never realised they have two jump seats in the boot.

How is VRT calculated on those or is there any?

Is that the same one that was up on McKinneys a few months ago and pulled cause there was an issue with it?
Trims painted black been only difference?

Must be quite a few of them around by now, I know the Twincams seem to be wandering around the raffle sites but I'd hardly think anyone would want to touch something that got pulled from another site,

What would the VRT/VAT be on that now? is it worthwhile entering car draws now?

Not the first but the last one was pulled as it didn’t meet the requirements for the draw. I was in for that one and we got our tickets refunded or free transfer to the more expensive Porsche draw.

I’m not sure why it was pulled though.

Rear jump seats were an option that’s not available anymore. VRT will be about €1250-€2000 max based on value as the VRT exemptions for EV’s stops at €35k so you pay the VRT on the balance.

The RRP on this here would be mid 40’s easily.

It looks it but j can’t be sure. There’s a Facebook thread where the previous owner was tagged in it and he confirmed it was his old car so I’d say you could get some history on it if you were to win it.

    Explained it slightly above.

The McKinney Tesla was pulled due to an issue with the electrics. Teslas are apparently difficult to fix. I heard they have to go back to Tesla themselves. I imagine it was quicker to shift the tickets to the Ferrari than wait for it to be fixed.
I don't know too much about Teslas but if it was fixed by Tesla themselves, and put up for raffle again, I'd be happy enough to take it off their hands! :)

Tesla's also have a pretty extensive warranty, something like 8 yrs unlimited mileage, and quiet a few of the earlier ones are now getting replacement motors and batteries so if this was done it might not be too bad a prospect. From looking online, parts are not easily got unless getting from a scrap yard and I can imagine most parts are coded to the car so even if you could get them, could you recode them to your car?

Fantastic car to drive but I'm not sure if I could live with a car that I couldnt fix myself.

    Both true.
Tesla “restrict” certain parts to the public. I can rock up and buy wiper blades, a wiper arm etc but I can’t but motors, battery cells, most parts of the wiring system etc

But the warranty is great too. 8 years and unlimited mileage on the early cars which means every single Tesla model s in this country is still under manufacturers warranty for battery and drivetrain until 2022 at least.

Some things you can still do yourself, suspension work, although mine has smart adaptive air suspension so not sure if that’s a tricky item, but the mechanical parts are accessible and replaceable.

In the market for a new car but would be afraid having something flash in the drive. I'd be afraid that it would be a magnet for thieves.
Wish they would raffle more bland, suburban cars 😂

Entered their draw for a new pc the other day, nice to see more practice prizes too.

Added security, lighting, tracker etc.... I'd also fit a kill switch.

Completely agree. I remember as a kid I used to go to sleep at night dreaming of winning a nice sedate diesel Quashqai.
If only R Kings could make my dreams come through...

Hilarious, if it were a 535d or something I really wouldn't mind.

Anyone else think the Irish ones are fairly cat and missing a trick? Fdr and wincar for example have nearly 6 year old A6s up at moment.
Be far better interest if they put a 2 or 3 year old amg, sline, m sport for example at say €10 and properly promote it on Facebook.
Rkings and McKinney seem to be far more clued in to what people want and how to shift tickets.
Irish people would jump at them I reckon knowing no vrt to pay.

I think it's to do with the better availability, of better cars in the UK. Rkings can pick them up at a better price too.

Fdr and wincar are likely shopping within roi or else the vrt would be a huge sting in the tail.

That’s what I was thinking but not so sure.
Take this for example of fdr asking for 43k.

It’s the sort of thing that would fly out on rkings I’d say. 5 years old granted but a weapon! (Little boy racerish for my liking with the window trims)
4000 tickets at €12.50 with some targeted fb promotions and free tickets for liking/sharing.

Don’t think I’ve seen anything fly out of rkings in the last few months. Nothing like earlier on last year when things would be gone in hours. There’s been a rs3 up the last few days that still isn’t sold
