Anyone else think the Irish ones are fairly cat and missing a trick? Fdr and wincar for example have nearly 6 year old A6s up at moment.
Be far better interest if they put a 2 or 3 year old amg, sline, m sport for example at say €10 and properly promote it on Facebook.
Rkings and McKinney seem to be far more clued in to what people want and how to shift tickets.
Irish people would jump at them I reckon knowing no vrt to pay.

I think it's to do with the better availability, of better cars in the UK. Rkings can pick them up at a better price too.

Fdr and wincar are likely shopping within roi or else the vrt would be a huge sting in the tail.

That’s what I was thinking but not so sure.
Take this for example of fdr asking for 43k.

It’s the sort of thing that would fly out on rkings I’d say. 5 years old granted but a weapon! (Little boy racerish for my liking with the window trims)
4000 tickets at €12.50 with some targeted fb promotions and free tickets for liking/sharing.

Don’t think I’ve seen anything fly out of rkings in the last few months. Nothing like earlier on last year when things would be gone in hours. There’s been a rs3 up the last few days that still isn’t sold

Yeah true, they seem to have slowed down a little alright.
I think that’s a combination of people getting tired of it and also the uncertainty about what sort of vrt and import duty you will get hit with from southern crowd.
Vrt on that rs3 would be massive.

I think you're probably right. They had an a6/a7 s-line over the weekend that was roi Reg and that sold out fairly quick.

They'd a Mercedes Coupe up last weekend,2012, £2 a ticket, checked VRT just to see, €7500 + Nox

    That's grotesque.
But if you won it, you would trade it in.
Iirc someone mentioned something about the rkings crew having contacts to buy these from you instead.
You'd make loss but against your five pound ticket it's still a victory.

They just sold out about 2000 tickets for a Supra in 2 hours and 15 mins.
I saw it go up and earlier and logged in 10 mind ago to buy one and it was sold out.
The right cars will still sell quick.

Saw that Supra, fairly standard though & interior looked a bit rough...

    The
VRT is a killer on some of these lovely cars for us down here , the white 330D is tempting for a fiver though, as I've sons in Derry I'd be tempted to buy a few entries

Lovely car but the ridiculous wheels they put on it ruin it.

I'd take it without wheels, my little 2012 insight would be lost in the boot

Stuck a tenner on the RS3 that was drawn today, had I won it, it would have cost 17 grand to VRT it :pac:

True, that MK1 Escort would have been gone in a couple of hours a few months back. Taking several days now. I find I don't look at the draws that much anymore to see what's for raffle. Maybe the novelty has work off for me.

For some. Unfortunately, for me, it would have been an expensive prize! :( #oldandbroke

A local from Curraheen Bishopstown won a sports car a few months back and took e26000, instead of the car valued over e34k years (figures might be out a tad)
Wouldn't have believed anyone had won at all except I know this hits gang

Agh I know their genuine, I know 2 people that won, one an M3 and the other a Golf.

The alternative cash prize is the trade value of the car, so I wouldn't be too upset even at that. It just depends on the car I suppose. I have a Model S Performance at the moment, so it needs to be something special for me to sell the Tesla to take the prize.

Lucky boy, Tesla would be my first choice dream car good luck with her and hold tight

Didn't know you could take the cash alternative! Uh oh...

    What you win.

They will look after you as they usually have a buyer but obviously you will take a hit on price....

But for cost of a ticket or a few you would still be onto a winner....

Does anyone know if you have to pay vat in addition to vrt if the car is less than 6000kms or 6 months?
Same way you have to if purchasing a uk vehicle under those values.
Or does it been a raffle exclude payment of tax seen as you paid nothing for it in first place?
MCKinney seem to be doing a good few cars inside those figures recently.

Tax would be liable, could be a very long drive into the state though....

They say that there is no cash alternative but they will put you in touch with the trader that sold them then car in the first place.

I weighed up the hassle of selling in the north or vrt'ing and all that jazz down here. Decided to take the hit and the money was in my account within 24 hours.

They're not having an easy time shifting tickets for the v8 bentley gt 😂😂
They must be burdensome even for UK drivers.
