No pictures unfortunately, but a train of cars passed me today in Monasterevin, mostly classic Fords. It looked like a club run.

Does anybody know who the club might be? I am looking to join a new club.

    Yup it's a Mk 1 Laguna.

For what it's worth for a car that was one of the nicest looking normal cars you could get when new. It's surprising how ordinary it looks in 2021.

The Xantia and the 405/406 Peugeot's have aged better imo.

Might be a matter of opinion there. Never liked the look of the Laguna.
That being said, I thought the 406 was beautifully shaped when it came out!

    Great photo dvc.
There has been a Bentley at that location for as long as I can recall (the best part of 20yrs) though i'm not sure if it has always been the one in your pic.

This might be one I've posted before, but saw it in Aldi in Cavan town today.
Not a bit afraid of it being stolen, or they'd have closed the door!

Rare to see the jacking point covers still "present and correct"

    The door is dropping slightly.

Seen that on MK 2s before and it's a bit of àn arseache.

Probably why he didn't close the door fully.

The MK 1 Laguna was also one of the best cars to drive in its class at the time even better than the MK 1 Ford Mondeo.
I think it has aged well and it's great to see a survivor.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.
