    Curfews?
Oh yeah possibly....they will go down well I am sure....

They could enforce masks in all public spaces...but given how some people wear them not sure it would be a massive help.

We are going to see carnage over the next few weeks.
The amount of people shopping in Dublin City centre and other cities in the weeks before Christmas are the catalyst for this.

It's about 4k or more with the backlog of swabs

The Hospitals won't cope with these figures. On top of other impatient cases were ****ed. There'll be a lot more deaths unfortunately.

Disaster levels. Shut down construction is a no brainer. Why delay it?

I'd bring in a rule that if anyone is caught transgressing restrictions, they go to the back of the vaccination queue, regardless of age or condition.

Also anyone refusing the vaccine is banned from getting any HSE treatment if the knobheads do then catch Covid.

Might make a few think twice before screwing it up for everyone.

Higher incidence than last spring, when they were catching 1 in 3 cases

I think you're mixing me up with someone else. I never said that me and my family were vulnerable.

I had also thought you had said that, but perhaps it was just that your commentary in general suggests that you are.

But regardless, why are you asking the below question?:
Quick question, are take-aways safe at all now?Is there more of a chance of having someone with covid preparing my food?

When 8 months ago someone else asked the same question and it was yourself that provided the answer?

Remove food from take-away bag, put on plate, wash hands and microwave it. This guy explains how to clean off your shopping and how to deal with take-aways at the end...

For someone that has an infinite amount of posts stating how depressed you are listening to all this, why do you spend so much time on here? You really should take some time away and think about something else.

It's still OK for now and they are moving on their surge plan including private hospitals.

Luas was packed with people :(. That had to be a huge thing, there was no way to stay 1m away from people, let alone 2. I feel especially bad for the people who had to take it in for work and school and had people in for shopping on top of them

I cycle home by the luas line and when I am stopped at red lights (don't at me) I look for people on the luas without masks, there are always a few

Well its a better estimate than using case numbers.

There was nowhere near the amount of testing in March. But it's still scary. Will be doing my grocery shopping in a 24 hour store until further notice.

True. Allowing people down from the North and also people within the jurisdiction to congregate to work on sites is criminal.

I agree - we just dont learn from our mistakes.

Remember all the messing around and delays with cancelling Paddys day parade etc.?

Schools and construction should remain shut until 1 Feb at the earliest.

Not much else we can do now - just stay home and ride it out.

    :D

I actualy didnt get this. Op is affraid to order and by your logic ( I mean you and the other guy), that means he wants them to go out of business? I prefer dominos but not 4 star, chinese but not indian, but that doesnt mean that i want indian takeaways and 4star to shut forever

    Aye yeah.

I know someone who moved out of their home, as they're a frontline worker. They haven't seen their son in nearly a year...

Meanwhile, we have that poster, trying to scare people, who are already scared, off getting a takeaway, whilst trying to patronise me when I call him out on it

    Sad state of affairs

I didn't realize we had to pay for private hospitals, [socialist]i thought we could just take them. We allow them to operate in our country, and now we need them to stop people dying... so... [/socialist]

Reason being mass travel for Christmas and N Year. Not such a problem in most EU countries.

  • Well its a better estimate than using case numbers.

Daily hospitalisations were higher in March than they are now suggesting underlying case numbers were higher
