Tbf, it's been incredibly amicable in here recently. Probably a dull 0-0 on the cards:pac: Sky no doubt will build it up as some big title decider

Villa arguably should be performing even better than their decent league position. Considering they've played a game less than most their attacking stats are all very promising.

    Shots - 3rd
    Corners - 1st
    Hit woodwork- Joined 2nd most
    Big chances missed- 2nd most

Surprisingly in 16th for passes made so clearly quite efficient at getting from A to B without much faffing about. I guess they're also very dribble heavy compared to most.

Yup, as was said the last time joint top on points. 2nd in the table :)

Have to wonder if the chap who was calling the league done and dusted only a week ago has changed his mind. This year's pretty open -- no one is at their best, and everyones going to keep slipping up. Proper 3 way race right now with Utds insanely good away form and improving home for, Liverpools impressive home form and patchy away form, and the fact Man City have been atrocious by their standards and yet are still up there, with none of their main men firing yet and Aguero likely soon fit and sharp enough to return to the starting lineup.

Would love to get a sneak-peak of the table as it'll be in March, but I think we'll still have a contest going into the final 10 games.

Actually hope everyone has forgotten it

If the referee didn't initially give the penalty, and VAR overturned it, then maybe you'd have a case to complain.

Otherwise, it's a sign that United are a perceived threat if its causing saltiness. That, and people spelling Maguire wrong.

It was always going to be a penalty.
I just disagree with 75% of penalty decisions these days.

Just before Bailly block at the end Maguire handled the ball, why was it not checked

That and the fact that Grealish is so heavily fouled.

It's United at OT and captain Harry in question, away teams rarely get decisions like that.

If utd were drawing and Mings did that, I'd be confident it would be checked on VAR and a penalty would be awarded.

If City win all their games in hand then they'll be on 32pts

Spurs were top for a little while, now level on points down to 10th, midtable. I'd expect United to swap places with them over next 4 games .

No, he's not heavily fouled and certainly was not tonight. Opponents merely breathing in his proximity seems just cause for him to collapse to the floor and writhe around in apparent agony. He looks, behaves and plays like a complete tosser and needs a stronger manager to get him to pull up his socks - literally and metaphorically.

Could even have happened after the full time whistle had blown.

Quite a dramatic response. A bit like Grealish when he gets fouled.

No one saw it, or replayed it, or looked at it.

I dunno what happened, other than they blew the game up.

If noone saw it how is it a clear handball? Get those tinted glasses off - villa players didnt even appeal

Good enough up front, but that defence will leak too many goals I think.

When is VVD back? He will be a huge boost to Liverpool.

He won't be back this season. Neither will Gomez.

    Liverpool a far better side, I think that's obvious , don't you?

If all players on both sides are fit I would say yes Liverpool are a better side but currently, I would say the UTD starting 11 tonight is better than the Liverpool starting 11 v Newcastle.

Any update on the 3 other city players isolating?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,228 ✭✭✭kowloonkev

You'd wonder why they're using a still image to build their case. It's a bit like the videos of sasquatch or UFOs that are always coincidentally very poor quality.

Simon Harris is monitoring the situation...

this is all i could see from pep:

"I don't think the Premier League allow us to name the players. We have to respect the privacy of the players maybe. You will see the line-ups and three important players not there, so you will know exactly but I'm not allowed to tell you."
