Father Ted Christmas special coming up, I've already watched it twice this week but will have to give it another watch.

Will take a look at the two Johnny's and see what they're upto tonight.

30 years highlights show of Have I Got News For You at 10:15. Should be decent.

Please let them have the clips of the 2 boys destroying Aengus Dayton!!

I flicked on "ABBA Christmas Party" thinking it was ABBA performing because ABBA are the best pop group to have existed, to my horror I witnessed Nadine Coyle butchering Voulez Vous

The Panel is possibly the closest thing which had a few moments.

I feel old after watching that HIGNFY look back. It was a staple at one point for me but not something I have watched in years. Got a few lol moments there.

    They did, Shirley

Imagine if you will, Barry Murphy chairing a topical news quiz with Kevin Myers and Mario Rosenstock as hosts with one guest each on their team

You've just imagined RTE1's 2010 just one series never recommissioned Have I Got News For You? unwatchable clone 'That's All We Have Time For'

There was also a Dermot Morgan topical news quiz called 'Newshounds' which never made it to air

Okay, they are flawed but for the lightsaber battles alone they far better than watching Rey and Kylo just talking to each other

Supposedly Donald wouldn't let them shoot the film in the hotel unless he was in it

Watched that ZZ Top doc on Netflix, doesn't give an in-depth look at the band but it was fun nonetheless.

You can say whatever you want, and I'll just say Jar Jar Binks, and that wins any discussion about crapness.

The RTE introducer should be censored,
saying ‘till death us do part’ before the start of ‘A star is born’ what a spoiler.

Just looked at the Young Offenders Christmas Special. It's basically just a load of the f word stringed out with whatever they can think of at lthe last minute to get funded by RTE. Mrs Browns Special was worse. DIdn't last 10 minutes.

Decent lineup, but I find Acaster painfully unfunny and annoying

    Love 'em.

Saw The Busk. Could look at Lisa Hannigan all day but she has no voice at all. She acknowledged this on the programme about busking. But I've seen her before on stage on t.v. and she just can't get any sound going at all. Couldn't imagine paying a cent to listen to her. But what a beauty.

I thought Harry Potter would be on rte or itv but seen its on sky movies so assume sky doesn't let anyone show them. Feckers

I hadn't seen this before, he has Pat down to a T "but it's not a military toy, not properly camouflaged, leaving your Action Men exposed surely...".

I hope RTE rerun Savage Eye, doesn't appear to be on DVD or on the RTE Player...

‘Back To The 80’s’ on Channel 4 now, counting down their biggest programmes from that decade (Vic Reeves tomorrow night looking at the 90’s) :)

    Don’t mention ‘Minipops’

I loved ‘The Tube’ - so many big big names and performances, The Jam’s final TV appearance, Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s debut.

Gay Byrne making an appearance on Channel 5, ‘When Classic TV Goes Wrong’.

Surprisingly, not Boyzone’s TV debut.

RTE doing their usual superb job of ****ting all over the ending of every movie they show by slapping a "THE END" black screen the first chance they get.

Was that the end of "Avengers: Infinity War?". Was it? How do I know? I'm sure people aren't interested in long post movie credits but this is the usual RTE no-style, no-brains, minimal effort garbage fire - it's so bad you aren't even sure it's the end. They're pathetic.

And even if you don't care about credits, I'm aware that there was a massive post credits sequence that someone might have been interested in watching but that was cut out.

Only RTE would show The Avengers film where half the population of the universe get wiped out instantly.

Joe Duffy is compiling another ‘Legacies’ show for tomorrow morning.

They aren't showing End Game, no point showing Infinity War if you aren't going to show End Game

Funny, I'm not into any of the Avengers movies (I liked Guardians of the Galaxy though) so in general, it's popcorn watching for me so it's not about this film per-se. It's about RTE's crassness in doing such a jarring end cut to practically every film they show (except Irish ones) - it's like we're expecting the end and the finale builds and ... bam you're hit by a wet towel.

Edit: I remember Charlie Brooker having a hilarious rant about end credits a few years ago (aha, found it). Jesus, that man is funny...

Watchable, seemed a long one though, it's like a celebrity Wipe created for a US audience. Hugh Grant as Tennyson Foss looks as if he is 75 plus in it, great makeup or probably in his case lack of it, lol.
