    He's not though is he?

    He is.
He has a huge body of work that will last long after he is gone.

They should make a version of that Supervalu advert where the Grandad doesn't turn up at the end

Show it once in a while, just to add a bit of jeopardy to it.

Or have him turn up drunk and hang the kid from the ceiling fan.

I KNEW YOU WERE COMING GRANDAD

Bono would easily be able to raise a few million if he just emptied the loose change from his trousers..

    Glen Hansard.

    Sitting on his 50 million.

    Excuse my cynicism.

I would have loved to hear the conversation he had with the people from the Wardrobe department about wearing that blue TShirt and hat.

Legend. Wasn’t event bothered to shave.

    Fair play to him.

More Christmas trees in the LLS studio than Trump put up in the White House.

I don't like most of the people on set.

They butchered Raglan Road. Imelda May trying to hard to be the tugging at the heart strings poet.

Finbar Furey isn't signing, just talking and the girl (Lisa O'Neill?) sounded like a crow.

Hansard really is dislikable. His brother is a landlord too.

This might be harsh - but I'm not a massive fan of our main street / GPO being turned into a soup kitchen. I'll be honest - makes the north side of the city very rough. Harsh - but it is my city too - not my fault they have drug problems. I'm from a tough area myself. I love my city center.

It is John Gilligan playing the Grandad after all.

    Glen Hansard.

    Sitting on his 50 million.

    Excuse my cynicism.

I'm sure Glen and all those wealthy people in music donate thousands/millions privately.

Could the homeless lad not have at least spruced up a little for his tv appearance?

Or was he not allowed? Suiting the show..

In fairness to RTE this isn't bad. Needs more Christy though.

    Yeah. We know.

Imelda’s dramatics for the poetry recital killed it.

Then that crusty in the woolly hat doing a verse without opening her mouth made Mac Gowan seem coherent.

    Glen's hair annoys me.

Actually, a lot of them on tonight have stupid hair.

And I don't even care about hair that much, but they do.

I am getting a real vibe that Tubridy couldn’t give a toss for this cause!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,402 ✭✭✭McGinniesta
