The Late Late Busk For Simon will see the show team up with Glen Hansard who, 10 years ago, first took to Grafton Street with a flurry of his musician friends to help raise money for the country’s homeless.

A slew of Irish talent will be lending their support to the cause including U2’s Bono and The Edge.

Also joining the cast of musicians are Imelda May, Hozier, John Sheahan, Finbar Furey, Shane MacGowan, The Corona’s Danny O’Reilly and his sister Roisin O, Declan O’Rourke, Lisa O’Neill, Kodaline’s Steve Garrigan and many more.

Not only will the evening be filled with top-notch performances but there will be stories shared and a lot of chats about the Grafton Street busk over the years.

The aim is to highlight the importance of the work the Simon Community do, especially this Christmas.

It's unrelated to tonight's show, but I was listening to The Stand, Eamonn Dunphy's podcast earlier.

He interviewed Dustin the turkey about Christmas and that.

Dustin kept referring to Ray D'Arcy's Saturday night tv show as "Ray D'Arcy's war on craic".

I actually guffawed, like an oaf. Very funny.

I think the LLS has been hitting the mark lately with lots of music shows

Nice change from the Zoomorama interviews of "how are you dealing with staying at home and how Irish are you?"

And the Toy Show was well received too

    Credit where's it's due

Help. My account has been hacked.

Hopefully "Irish Women in Harmony" will make a surprise appearance.

Surely they've reached number one by now!?!

I thought Dustin would be in hiding this time of year :D

Is it the Russians? Seems like they'd be up to that sort of thing. If the news is to be believed.

Skidski's right, the Sharon Shannon type ones are much better than the Skypefests.

    This could be good tonight.

They aren't in the Top 50 this week apparently, probably a conspiracy

haha. sounds good I'll download it. At last a reason to subscribe to The Stand again. I guess, like Tubridy himself, he is entitled to one good show every season.

Sounds more promising than the "Country" debacle last week.

They'll be held off the top spot by this... :D

I hadn't seen that. Surely if Tubridy cared anything about children then he has a duty of care not to put that out on the national airwaves. For the kid it might seem like a good idea at the time but he will have YEARS of abuse over it. They know that this will haunt him for the rest of his life, yet they put it out on air. It's exploitation.

Other than that I'm in good form, how's everybody.

Bono looking very old (I'm a fan) - sad because he looked unreal at 50. A few crashes , health issue - suddenly all caught up with him.
