€20 for 1 litre spirits is always a good time!
Will stock up a bit & they should do me as mixers for a few months

Eurospar Barnhall (not sure about other branches) also had Jameson @ EUR20/70cl (yesterday evening anyway).

Is the deal on Roe and Co over?

Also- Dunnes had 1lt Absolut (several different ones) at 30 a bottle. Anyone know if this is still available?

    Good booze deal there.

That would be Best Before not Expires so fine for over the Christmas.

Should have clarified, that deal expires 6th December. BB on the box is mid July.

Update re the crafty brewing company beer box expected to be in Lidl 2morrow?

I was told by a staff member tonight in store that there is an issue with the delivery of the beer box, so no guarantee they will be in store 2morrow or when?

    Any info on this?

AFAIK that’s the case. But at 24 euro for a slab against 30-36 for equivelant in 8s or 12s.

For the extra mouthful per cannits not worth it IMO.

They taste exactly he same but the head is as I’ve said before is a little less proud.

Think they did blind tests on here and same conclusion. Some people just don’t like change.

    They're 12 for €14.75 in Dunnes I think, so €29.50 for 24.

To get the equivalent value per ml vs 470ml pack
    470/500 = 0.94
    €29.50 * 0.94 = €27.73

So 24 of the 500ml cans are an extra €3.73, when comparing like for like, which is very little over a whole slab, if the larger head is important.

I got the 12 Beamish for €15 in Lidl myself.

I tried lidl for the 8 beamish for €10 a couple of days ago in Cork, but no joy. On offer anywhere else?

I got a slab of 470s, slim head to no head in 5 mins. Was using the can dunk technique with the widget cans for the best simulation of a creamy pint. Tbh I'd rather pay the difference unless you plan on keeping the blindfold on all night and drinking them in under 5 minutes. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

    I don't think so.
    It was single cans only.
Actually, i'm wrong, its was 8 cans for a tenner.
I went with 2 four packs, and they were full price, so had to go back and get 8 single cans....

    8's and 12's are all 500ml
    Just slabs are 470ml.

Can you get Murphy's anywhere ?

Dunnes have Beamish 4 packs on offer. You save a whopping 30c or so. I think they were e7.52 or something similar. Lol

Tesco sell them, Super Valu have them online but we dont have any SVs in Galway anymore.

    Dunnes dont stock them anyway.

Best you can usually do is a 6 cans for e14ish.

They are nice. I like mixing them with the Guinness.
I might even prefer them, the only of putting point is the price.

I think they do 12 packs as well but I've only really looked for them to buy recently and havent seen more than a 6 pack since.

SuperValu rum and tequila sale: https://shop.supervalu.ie/shopping/rum-and-tequila-sale

Havana 7 year for €23.60 is good but if like me you prefer the 3 year it’s slightly cheaper in O’Briens at €23

I think the Havana 7 is €32, it is the Havana Anejo Especial which is €23 - I prefer that over the 3 but they are all fantastic rums.
    Similar discounts in Tesco.
