Weekly DCA stack just now. Unbelievable how few Sats you get now for your FIAT compared to when this thread started, yet still feels cheap personally. Christmas bonus time soon, won't be lumping it all in at once this time however, will continue to DCA.

If you have had the self-discipline to consistently keep up with the DCA strategy all these years without ever panic-buying or panic-selling, I am quite impressed.

It is not hard to understand why it is a good strategy ... but human psychology still makes it hard to follow!

I have never sold a single Satoshi. I've bought extra on the dips though so not strict DCA'ing. I changed from a fixed FIAT figure every week to a fixed Bitcoin amount (BCAing) a few months back however that has gotten too difficult for me so have reverted back to a fixed FIAT amount for now.

I think InstaSte is the only person on boards in Ireland to have fairly consistently done BTC DCA over the last few years :p

Satoshi informed me I have the strongest hands in Europe believe it or not.

Price just hitting 18700 USD and making a new yearly high btw.

I don't know, I really think price action needs to cool down (and retrace) a bit ... but maybe we will be hitting ATH before it happens.

In September 2017, the head of JP Morgan, Jamie Dimon, called Bitcoin a fraud and publicly declared to the world that his daughter was stupid, after she told him she owned 2 bitcoin. Nice one Jamie. I hope you have to beg to see the grandchildren more than once a year.

If his daughter bought her bitcoin in late July, she would have paid about $2700 per coin.

    Craig Wright is not Satoshi.

Really? Did someone who's identity has been verified, come forward as the person who called Wright a fraud? If I were in the pickle Wright is in, I'd be welcoming someone calling me a fraud and injecting doubt I could access the wallets at issue and be told to give half or more of their contents to the Kleiman estate.

Girlfriend just asked if I had any cash for the market, and I start explaining I’m not overexposed that I have cash ready for the next dip and that I have a good exit strategy.. And she’s like, “no you dope, I’m going to the farmers market so they won’t take card”.

I might need to take a break from crypto forums 😂

Dca is the best as it doesn't feel like you are putting much in but it builds up nicely over time.

Indeed, but only if the value goes up. There have been people DCAing into coins since 2018 that have only gone down. Sunken cost fallacy is also a thing.

    Wow, Ripple is flying.

Yeah Ripple has done little since 2018 but go down, probably one of the worst performers in the top 10, glad to see it start to move again

All of this is pretty good movement considering BTC hasn't hit any newsworthy ATH, there's little coverage of it, certainly nothing close to that hype wave in late 2017. Will see if there is the usual Sunday drop.

Purchased Ripple in 2018 through Revolut and the price halved while I was on Holidays! I never sold it so hopefully it reaches .50 again.

Good momentum for now, which could take it there pretty quickly.

But I’d also say that there must be loads of people who bought in the past bull run (in 2017/2018) and have been waiting since then to offload their holdings when they break even. This could quickly reverse price action of the move up comes to an halt and they all FOMO in terms of taking their chance to dump their holdings.

Come on ETH, should be at $800 by now with BTC where it is.

Wonder if I should sell a bit now and buy back in after it drops.

Risky, could ramp up till ETH2.0 Dec 1st,
i'm all for selling alts when they pump a little but not with ETH.

Jumping a bit too fast now, there will have to be a correction

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,555 ✭✭✭Irish_rat

Some of the alts moving pretty quickly now.

A lot of people won't be able to get cash onto fiat exchanges because it's the weekend, I'll be curious to see the situation on Monday/Tuesday.

Literally had that typed out when I saw your post, this is getting interesting now, previous ATH will be on peoples minds for ETH soon same as it is with BTC.

I bought a few hundred Eurs worth of Ripple/XRP via Revolut a few weeks ago. It seems to be shooting up today. I'm at the stage of do I sell now or will it keep going up... What to do what to do... :-)
