Exactly. And now try to make an educated guess of how long till it happens? Like worldwide. Because it won't be day 10 or day 100 and not even day 365.
So we talk about lockdowns and various regimes for the years to come.

That depends on a lot of variables. But the term lockdown is way overused and not actually anywhere near close to what most countries have in place now (including ourselves).
Once restrictions can be eased in what would be a phased basis, while we continue to live with certain personal obligations, life could be far far far worse.......

You tried that line on me before PJ and I’ve already stated I don’t support that party at all!
The Government & NPHET deserve to be criticised heavily. We’ve got George Lee peddling NPHET’s massage daily, there’s many many twitter tweets, interviews from members of NPHET with what looks like zero consultation with Government. How can any Government allow this?
Now we have them out vilifying people going to do a days work, and guess what LIVING IN A HOUSE. ‘Covid spreading in the private home’ a headline yesterday - What a joke.

If it gets you riled up as much as it appears to...why, oh why, are you listening to George Lee daily or following any of them on Twitter? Glutton for punishment.

True - we only need enough to protect the most vulnerable in society.
About a 1.4 million doses would do it.
That's enough for all the over 65s to get the 2 doses - I think last census there 650,000 over 65s in the country.

But since there are about 2 billion or maybe more of old and vulnerable worldwide (most of africa and asia can be classed vulnerable due to malnutrition) and there is no way in hell to make that many doses our unelected leader will demand for restrictions to continue due to risk of infection by mutated strains coming from abroad.
Or we may go full North Korea style and lock borders completely.

NOBODY wants this but it is happening anyway. We are locked down right now because of what? Because of cases. It does not matter that fewer people die or go to hospital. It is these "cases"... Nevermind that majority of them are false positives where people do not have and never develop any symptoms.

Nonsense is peddled on RTE and radio daily. Not here.

Funny how you keep attacking ONE of the sites that the video happens to be on instead of what the accredited doctor is saying.

I'll have to upload a video of lockdown Tony on Bitchute so then you'll finally turn on him.

The accredited doctor who currently doesn't practice and instead apparently works for a company that deals in "alternative" treatment.

I didn't mean to offend you guys. I shoulda known how high bitchute would be regarded :pac:

It's fishy enough that somebody with this credentials would make these claims in the first place, but I think the main issue here credibility wise is not that but then the fact this doctor is not actually even in the video at all. Which adds to fishiness and I think that's a major reason why it is not convincing

Perhaps, but we are currently tolerating being dictated to by someone who just wants to lockdown indefinitely. Someone needs to hold these people accountable for the severe consequences of their actions while they’re also failing to manage & protect those most vulnerable whom they proclaim daily to care so much about.

Saw a headline today saying HSE looking for “some way” to allow visitors into nursing homes over Christmas...

I’ve been anti restrictions for a long time now but if there is one thing that actually is dangerous, it is this.

    Especially with our track record.

How are we supposed to reduce our social contacts when we're social creatures?

Try telling that to some families. I fully understand its awful not to be able to see your relatives except through a window, its awful for everyone but I'm getting fed up with the verbal abuse about how we are keeping them prisoners, they are writing to the Minister etc etc. We arent keeping them out for the hell of it!!!

Most of the "working" population are below the age that covid kills ie under 65

Over 65s account for 92% of the deaths in this country.

So why shouldn't people of working age be allowed to work. The risk for them is very very small.

Im not going to loose my house over a virus that has little or no chance of killing me and I will continue going to work.
    .

Sorry but I think you may have misinterpreted my post otherwise I’m not sure that your post makes sense.

My post (and Dr Holohan’s comments today) was direct at those who can fully work at home but are not due to being forced by their boss or by choice. Losing a house or “being allowed to work” are not relevant if the person can fully work from their home as they are still doing their job and earning their wage.

Any person who can do their job from home should not be in the office, that was the information I was trying to get across in my post.
    What's bizarre about that?
Most people don't actually enjoy spending all their waking hours in one place 7 days a week.

Hi, I would see this as being the total opposite. Most people have really taken to working from home and would see it as making for a much better life and much better work life balance. Very very few folks want to go back to offices and commutes and so on 5 days a week after experiencing working at home, many would be happier to never see inside the office again.

Colm Brophy TD accusing Verona Murphy who speaks sense on Prime Time of Trump style politics. Pathetic. I’m so done supporting the Restrictions, NPHET and the Government.
They have zero plan only lockdown, put everyone out of work and send the state to bankruptcy.

My internet history is wrecked as it is, but I still try to keep the likes of 4Chan, Bitchute, Live Leak and other digital gutters out of there.

I don't buy into the Bill Gates supervillain theory, I don't pay him much attention at all really. He is so far off my radar and disconnected from my everyday life and focus that even if he has highly nefarious intentions, wtf can I do? Even if he is revealed to be the antichrist tomorrow, wtf can I do?

I'm far more concerned with the relaxation of restrictions here, of a return to some kind of coherent, decisive government leading Ireland to live alongside this virus. This is the shít that affects my life and the lives of those I know.

I think this thread gets wild enough without us going down the Bill Gates road.

That's long been a problem with politics here. Parish pump bull**** all around. The majority of TD's are just out for an easy life knowing they'll get in if they make a few pandering gestures to the local electorate. It's ****ing depressing

I see Dr.Hulahoop was blaming everyone and their mothers for the rise in cases again tonight.

Shaming those who are going to work is a new low. Of course, it's easy to look down on people when you're on top. He's living the dream now - no accountability, every word he says is lapped up, every demand is accepted with a "yes sir, thank you sir". All that on a fat pension and no doubt a government job after all this.

But screw the people who are trying to make a living eh?

Someone should ask Dr Holohan how essential his trip to the late late show studio to get his belly rubbed by tubridy was.

Why is he even doing this presser from Miesian Plaza? He could be doing it via zoom from his own home.
By being there he is forcing camera people, press lapping dogs and other members of NPHET to travel to work.
