I couldn’t give a ****e if the hate him, frankly. There are spurs fans on here saying it’s not a penalty as well. Do they hate him?

I didn't see Spurs fans suggesting the other day that the Greenwood goal should have been offside. I saw plenty of it in the CL thread. It's a tedious tendency to denounce any decision that goes the way of a team/player that is disliked.

Anyway, it's going over old ground at this stage. VAR made the call and I happen to agree with it. Others may disagree. We move on.

That's a great goal. Lampty is having a great season so far.

    He got the ball.

Come on ref ffs, either way you shouldn't need that much time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,945 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

The replay from behind shows he got the ball with his heel?

Edit: the ball is rolling really fast and then slows down a lot after Brighton player slides in.

Jaysus, thought he'd disallow it but delighted considering the peno calls. Refs having a mare today

Fabinho got the ball last week but VAR still gave a foul and a penalty bizarrely though the peno is a separate issue.
    No consistency

No idea how VAR gave either penalty.

Thought it was a foul myself but I think it evens it out, Kane penalty should have been a free out.

Looked quite clear to me that yer man got the ball. The 2 guys on Supersports I'm watching are saying "clear as day" he didn't get the ball. Kinda bizarre.

The main commentator must be a spurs fan he’s leaning heavily towards them.

Don Hutchinson is co-commentator and thought it free in real time.

Another injury. That's a fair few in the last two game weeks now.

    Good goal. Atrocious marking though

Did they not know who was to pick him up or something seeing as he was only on? Good header though.

    Lampty done now.

Wonder is the short pre-season catching up with players now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,385 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Repeating a false narrative over and over doesn't it give it any more truth.

The Liverpool fans here dismissing the pen are the same ones that defend the pens Mane and Salah get for 'anticipating contact'.

    Such a strange, strange take.

Still mental how they voted down five subs, it's like they wanted to encourage injuries.

Ha the commentator says Kane was very very close to a dive :pac:

The Sky Sports ticker has said "he was clever in winning the penalty".

Hahaha you actually couldn't write it. It's obvious now.

Brighton did quite well but Spurs edge it, just.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,018 ✭✭✭✭thebaz

I actually fancy Spurs to win league - Mourinho and Bale know how to win -

Spurs are in the title race.

Massive squad now too, with plenty of options up front. A clean bill of health, probably the only PL team that have everyone fit.

Let's see how they fare out when people start to acknowledge their title contender-ness and not just an under the radar run.
