On field refereeing has gotten a lot worse since VAR came in.

60 years on from their double....get your euro on a repeat. It’s fate.

Season ends in a 1 as well and Spurs only win things with the year ends in a 1.

    Don't be ridiculous. Elmohamady FTW.

between City's regression and pickford, it's opened up
honestly though City really miss Aguero, who wouldn't?
meh as long as Mourinho doesn't win, I'm happy

I'd take a Utd win or Morinho been sacked, over another employment practices liabilty claim, before a Spurs win than him winning
    i fcuking hate him

Atrocious refereeing performance in that Spurs game, the worst I've seen in years

Spurs have looked very jose like the past 2 games again, that being said they have been very unlucky twice this season

I feel like they'd need to give up on Europe. To challenge and can't see him doing that.

They have one of the best squads In the league with a lot of quality, if bale is old bale or anywhere near it then it is possible alright.

Those "one player goes over the back of another" are always close decisions. I don't think it's a peno, but don't think it's a free against Kane either. He doesn't bend over to flip the player over, he takes up a space, he only bends when an arm strikes his face.

That final big purposeful step Kane does to take him into Lallana while the latter is fully off the ground should probably have made it a yellow card and free out. Purposeful dangerous play.

He takes a glance just before that too he knows what he's at, I seen a lad get taken away in an ambulance in a neck brace after a tackle like that when I was playing football , lad that did it got the line for it.

Btw here's Kane trying his little trick again only two weeks ago:

The looking part isn't the problem. It's what you do after.

If you look over your shoulder to give you an idea when to brace for contact to hold off a defender, that's fine, and you see it all the time with players receiving their ball with their back to goal. It's different if you're basically looking for where they are so you know how to hit them. You see it sometimes with players throwing elbows, but it applies equally if you're trying to disrupt their jump.
    That is actually very nasty.

Like that's just an obvious straight red. There wouldn't be any question about it if you were doing something as dangerous in any other context.

If a full contact sport like rugby can figure this out, then a semi-contact sport like football really doesn't have an excuse.

The next lad Kane tries that too might just decide to land with their full weight on him and do some serious damage to him.

Stupid as well, a bit of bad luck with the landing and he has the full weight of a player falling down on his neck.

But yet he’s “clever”, according to the English media.

Just saw the challenge on MOTD.... LO fvcking L.

The standard of officiating in the EPL is fvcking shocking.

Fair play to Chappers telling them not to hold back and they didn’t.

Harry Kane knows what he's doing - Crouch.

    Hard to argue with.

Keown was less complimentary than that.

As I said earlier, it's so dangerous for the player in the air. I hope there's more made of this and the officials start to ref it. Filthy from Kane.

Graham Scott and John Moss had an absolute mare of a game. Prem refs are rubbish.

Refs got that Gabrielle challenge wrong too in the bottom half tv filler.

Tackle at the end line? Thought it was fine on initial viewing but haven't seen replays

Yeah one of those where if he wasn't on a yellow it's probably a booking, but the ref doesn't want to send him off for it.

You don't seem to understand the points being made :)

I'm merely stating that Everton would have closer to a full strength side if their players stopped getting sent off. What 'points' don't I understand?

It didn’t read as ‘merely stating’, but rather an antagonistic response to someone who had been looking for sympathy over a weakened squad. Except there weren’t any posts like that, so it seemed out of place.

Yeah sure, text can be misinterpreted but I took it as a sly dig implying Everton are dirty.

    Text can be misinterpreted.
