He absolutely doesn't though? Lallana is clearly just going for a header, Kane leads with his arse into Lallana who's already well in the air before any contact between the two of them.

Lallana clambers all over him. You can't make challenges like that. It was dumb from Lallana and he was rightly punished for it.

That was never a penalty for Spurs, made no attempt to play the ball, free out if anything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,851 ✭✭✭dmigsy

How the fck is that not a peno for Brighton?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,239 ✭✭✭This is it

I'd nearly call a yellow for Kane there, dangerous to take a player out in the air like that

Nothing to see here though

To me, it looks like Lallana is in the air first to win the header. He can't change what he is doing. Kane then just moves/backs into the space under Lallana so that Lallana has nowhere else to land, except for on top of him.

Only seen that gif so far though.

Same as, only 1 player looking at the ball. Kane glances at the ball but sees the man and doesn't play the ball at all.

That's what it looked like to me.

Free out seemed the more correct call.

Dangerous, just as in rugby, to take a player in the air.

Kane knew exactly what he was doing. He does it regularly, and often wins free kicks from it. Not a peno for me.

The Brighton one probably was though, and if their player had gone down while being held by Doherty, it would have been given. I think it wasn't given as he went down after Doherty let go.

Whoever is doing commentary on Sky Sports Box Office said Doherty let go just in the nick of time. Their argument it is ok to be held, but as soon as the ball was played in he can't be held anymore. It wasn't a penalty because Doherty released before the ball left the foot.

Bizarre. Imagine paying nearly twenty quid to listen to that level of commentary. I know it's only Spurs but still the paying fans deserve better than that.

Lallana jumps and Kane runs into him

The more replays you see the more bizarre it gets. The ref actually leans forward and has a look to see which Spurs player has gone down before giving it.

Nice one var a definite foul on the box and a definite peno. Super Kane buries it

You've posted some awful drivel recently. Yesterday you posted in the West Ham thread saying you hope they break Liverpool up and then in the United thread today calling arsenal pussies and hoping United break them up as well.

A strange individual wishing that on players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Repeating a false narrative over and over doesn't it give it any more truth.

The Liverpool fans here dismissing the pen are the same ones that defend the pens Mane and Salah get for 'anticipating contact'.

Strange things for what is presumably a grown man to say.

Kiith is a Spurs fan. There's fans from a few other teams saying it's not a penalty. It looks to be yourself and Davy are the only two saying it is one.

What on earth has Harry Kane getting a questionable penalty got to do with Liverpool?

If one of them brought Man U into such a discussion you’d be meaning.

And before you say it, no, I don’t support Liverpool ;)

I thought it was really odd. Nearly everyone says they hope a player is ok or it's not to serious when injured and you've Davy going around saying he wants players to break up other players.

Kane does that move a lot.

He's going to break someone's neck soon.

No, VAR said it was one.

Kane is hated by Liverpool fans on here. Not sure if it's widespread on social media but it's very apparent on this forum. Hard to take the criticism of the pen seriously when if it was Mane on the receiving end of the challenge they'd be defending it. So transparent.

No, VAR said it was one.

Yes because VAR hasn't made a mistake before!!

I couldn’t give a ****e if the hate him, frankly. There are spurs fans on here saying it’s not a penalty as well. Do they hate him?

Both of those dives should be yellows

Very few across the board get yellows for dives anymore it seems.

    I don't know why.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,945 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

Ha the commentator says Kane was very very close to a dive :pac:

    Bizarre.

Seems to be a fairly broad church who don't think it was a peno.

Hating Kane is a new theory though.

    Kane is a disgrace.

Hutchinson called him on it but the main commentator said he was very very close to a dive. I’d love to know where the line is drawn.
Can VAR not recommend a yellow for diving?

    Exactly.That blows his point away.

Kith's post was unbiased and bang on.
