Palace can really be an awful team to watch; at home, one shot, one on target, a pen.
Brighton can’t get that one clear chance, apart from Mauapy who wasted his opportunity.

And then they score! Deserved, for both sides (Palace were time wasting for the previous 30mins).

7 mins added on time, Brighton will go for this

Bizarre way to go for the ball in a goal mouth scramble. Deserved red card

Dunk gets sent off for a similar challenge to Pickfords.

Deserved red. Crazy really, esp if they concede late.

He got unlucky really that the whistle didn't come before the lunge.

I think the Referee and the VAR official agreed with me.

It's sad that this is what tribalism will reduce discussion to.

    Calling black white.

Great pass by Kane. He’s been great in this new role.

With Bale coming in Spurs could have a scary attack. Kane and Son are both world class you’d have to say.

    Class by Kane.

Nice goal by Kane, 2-0, could get messy for West Ham.

Poor from WestHam, esp Rice; but brilliant again by Kane.

Nice little nutmeg on Rice too (yeah I'll be petty)

My initial comment which has sparked off so much debate was "Just seen the Pickford incident there this morning, looked more like an awkward coming together than a malicious challenge, Can't understand the outrage."

I still stand by it, I don't think Pickford went out with intent to harm VD, he went to block a ball and had an awkward collision with him.
Was outcome unfortunate for Liverpool... Yes.
Did Pickford set out with malice, intending to injure VD... Only Pickford knows but I don't think so.

Nice 3rd goal too by Kane. Hammers in real trouble here.

This is shaping up (early yet) to be a hell of a year in the PL.

Is Moyes back in the dugout?

The fact is he wouldn't have done this if the lines person wasn't female. He literally only done it because it was a woman, and has been stated women put up with inappropriate touching from creeps all day. The FA should come down hard on this to let everyone know it's not ok.

It should have been atleast a yellow card but seems like all this outrage is from people getting offended on her behalf. I thought she would have flagged it with the ref if it was that much of an issue for her

I agree with your point of view. Pickford is not the type who will intentionally injure an opponent. It was just poor goalkeeping. At first viewing it looked far worse than it was and Van Dijk is not seriously injured. He would not have been able to walk off the pitch unaided if he were.

Might not have had malice , but it was reckless and dangerous, so straight red !

If you don’t understand those type of injuries, then check it out. Walking off means nothing.
Intent doesn’t matter. It was reckless and dangerous.
