I hate to say I told you so. Toilets are a real issue. Schools in particular should be mitigating this vector.

Just to add these are toilets in different dwellings. So the mode of infection would be the same for those using the same toilet.

The November 2020 edition of national geographic magazine is not surprisingly all about covid-19 and it’s an excellent 140 pages of coverage from many parts of the globe and the front cover is from a lung CT scan of an elderly Belgian man with covid and it does show the reality of this virus on someone’s lungs. The magazine had touched on covid-19 early this year but this is a dedicated issue.

Edit: it was august of this year that they first mentioned covid-19.

I’m actually not comparing NZ to Ireland, but you even mention it and you have people foaming at the mouth. They simply begrudge anyone else doing well, that was my point from the beginning.

It's akin to Zero Covid, Herd Immunity or Let it Rip... fancifully dreams from either a person leaving in a fantasy land or a genocidal maniac!
Mentioning then doesn't help us in anyway, it just causes a needless argument in a time when we need to pull together.

Yeah I agree, nobody wants that. The border might get a bit intense. As in all borders, not just the north. ;)

I usually skip by your nonsense unfortunately it was under a post that I felt required a response. You are becoming a parody. Just thought I'd let you know. I don't attribute any relevance to your posts since the multiple fake tweets you posted.

But there has to be enforcement

To bypass the curfew for house parties just get to the place early. Enforcement is the biggest problem at the moment.
Think hefty fines and even taking people off pup, doc their social welfare payments if they are found breaking the more serious restrictions will be a good deterrent.

Curfew at night might be a difficult one, lot of people especially those high risk go for their walks at night. Shift workers do the same.

Maybe the authorities would make an exception, a permit system perhaps. It would make so much sense if people were microchipped, they could then be efficiently scanned then by the authorities to ascertain if they have permission to be where they are, if their vaccines are up to date etc.

It's old news about toilets. I think the last one was months ago and it was due to dry toilets (no water flushing) your link is about raw sewage leaking around and secondary infection being picked up on shoes etc...

It's been a while since I've been in school toilets, but back then the floors weren't covered in **** with it leaking out around the corridors.

The Garda do not have the power to enter a private dwelling just because a party maybe in progress. You seem to be confusing restrictions and laws. It seems the desire to throw the constitution into the ditch is getting traction.

I got the flu jab, which going by twitter, it should be the 5G chip, so they can scan me and know i'm obedient and let me on my way!

On a serious note, it was nice that the vaccine was free for me and christ it felt like a dead shoulder for 2 days. No wonder the nurse asks if you're right or left handed!

I think you lost all credibility when you espoused opinions based on two diametrically opposed wives. When I want to make a point I look for research, read the paper, understand the conclusions and report on the actual findings. That takes work and time.

It's easy to speak about personas that reinforce my opinion with no way to verify if they exist. Those who choose this method of argument are almost always lying. It's easy and lazy intellectually.

If you don't know a single person who died of Covid are you unique? It's a global pandemic apparently.

We've been told we would have:
    Random testing at airports
    Enforcement of restrictions (fines)
    both haven't materialized.

What's shocking is people actually out and about after a positive test or working with symptoms. I always thought there was provisions in the health act going back to the time of TB to control that.

I don’t know anyone who has died from it. I do know a few people recently(none in March and April although we are testing more nowadays) who have tested positive but I can’t tell you the last time I was even remotely in close proximity to them for any amount of time.

You seem to be getting confused with what I said. I say to bypass curfews get to places early. I'm pretty sure Star Trek Transporter or Space folding tech is not available at the moment and people will have to walk, drive or take other means of transport that could be blocked by checkpoints etc. Don't believe the majority of our drains are big enough for people to use either.

See that's the thing lad , I owned up to my less than honest posting although what I posted concerned me and noone else or purported facts.
You however posted several false tweets and when called out blamed the authors of said tweets. The Stanford university tweet springs to mind.

    Sure.

You're slipping, I thought you would post a gif of a sure deodorant ad.
Maybe the naked chest with the can being sprayed against the chest?

Then maybe a chart with Sure sales dropping because of the social distancing and remote working. Possibly dropping in an exponential fashion.

It would be a particular issue in China. While it's made progress across a huge array of areas, public toilets and sewage plumbing isn't one of them. There are still a lot of *very* unpleasant toilets and also a general ban on putting toilet paper into toilets. So fouled toilet paper goes into a waste paper basket next to the toilet...

Eh no I did not. Please provide proof. I posted one tweet stating Stephen donnely didn't understand the R number which subsequently transpired as true.

I immediately identified the tweet as being false and deleted when certain posters didn't get the joke and **** the bed.

I must have missed the owning up. I did not say we need to get back to normal so my son in law can donate a kidney or one of my two wives can get back to work. I wish whatever it is you want came true so you'd not have time to post.

I guess it begins with p.

Stheno was the one who mentioned curfews and said about house parties. I just replied how to bypass the curfew, that fines for breaking more serious restrictions and you start going on about how I seem to be confused that police cannot enter houses...
I never mentioned anything about entering houses.

As far as I'm aware it's the same? Essential services? I'm open to correction - but what is defined as an essential service is a bit broader than what it was in March and April.

My last tourism job was working outside in maintenance and security during a 9 - 5 job and I got a letter through my company that it was essential services. Trust me it wasn't. Bizarre definitions of what is essential. I now work for Failte Ireland and do regular site visits throughout the country and I was basically told to go easy on the rules for places I am checking under the new safety charter. A lot of these outdoor attractions will also be deemed essential services because the companies do not want to be paying employees to be at home even if they are availing of the covid payment. The whole system needs a watchdog to enforce the rules.

Come on man, how was I to know a doctor from a university misspoke and later clarified. I'm not apologising for a reputable source.

I've not been directed to the part where you acknowledged you don't have two wives and a son donating a kidney around the time you were espousing to get back to normal.

Shocking: Maybe we should adopt the Swedish style and adopt morphine deaths as opposed to covid so we don't pollute our death figures? Immoral yes but in support of certain line of thought.

You should post that tweet on the Sweden thread. Some people there believe Ireland does the same.
But how is that random tweet related to what Plumb was discussing?
