    It’s not at all ridiculous.

Doctor spin showed himself to be the nasty populist bollox he is on Monday last.

He’s spent the week since trying to find a patsy to blame.

Stephen Donnelly after a slow start is wise now to Veruca’s bull crap

Any comment on Tony H refusing to step down twice post the cervical check scandal and what about on March 10th last telling Nursing Homes Ireland (NHI) that blanket restrictions should be lifted because they were premature on nursing homes?

A full lockdown took weeks to drop. Cut the ****e these numbers are good.

No **** what so ever some people on here need to get a grip. Is Dublin in the holding stage 100+ a day level 3 will be with us for a long time.

Cork is hell bent on being bigger than Dublin.

As others said before Dublin has 2.5 times population of Cork .
So that number in Cork is roughly 270 in Dublin! :0
With no hospital beds or ICU beds left there as of last night , has Cork started to use surge capacity yet ?

75% of cases in Kerry and Cork are related to large clusters so a big number today isn’t exactly surprising

    Holy Communion and Confirmation gatherings?

    Exactly
Stabilisation still means more and more cases

This ain’t what we need to see

Ive read that in Holland the stay in ICU is a lot shorter than the first wave.
According to figures from the national ICU evaluation foundation NICE, coronavirus patients in March and April spent an average of 22 days in ICU. By July and August, that decreased to less than 8 days in intensive care on average.

So maybe we can live with it?

Proportionately today's figure is actually higher than Cork.

    Cervical issue is Irrelevant.

Nursing ireland issue was wrong I agree.

That’s still irrelevant to verucas little moment in the spotlight

Why are physicians who are skeptical of the government's Covid policy being forced to quit? What has what they say got to do with their professional performance?

Level 3 is too high already. Level 1 would actually be perfect with good and clear education. People are losing their rags. The hysteria is mighty.

Why do RTE have Catriona Perry broadcasting indoors from Derry, talk about wreckless.

She's to the Kate Adie of Covid.

So how are Dublin responsible for the Cork numbers this time? Holiday homes?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,740 ✭✭✭✭MD1990

Level 3 being introduced a few weeks earlier would have stopped it spreading all over the country.

5 dead, wonder what Dr Leo thinks now.

Doubt anything would have saved them at this stage

Every item on drivetime covid related.

I think the healthiest thing any Irish man or woman could do is get on a plane and go to the Greece or Cyprus.

We need some sunshine and a break from the non stop misery. This hysteria has to STOP

There is no hysteria, just information, verifiable facts. Delivered and imparted in a matter of fact fashion.

Albert Einstein is widely credited with saying, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.

How long before the 'powers that be' realize that this 'living with covid' notion is just not working ?

Because they're smaller, less dense populations? Cork's cases are coming from the city, we know that from the LEA maps.

Disappointed to not see Dublin numbers a lot lower. Countrywide the trend is not great at all tbh.
