Halloween...place your wheelie bin at the end of your driveway loaded with sweets, hope the kids have an honour system and don't take the lot in a single go.
    Or set fire to it!

Do we have any idea of the average or median age of those who died?
We used to get that info on a regular basis.

    Austerity and a 30billion deficit.

SF PBP SDs etc will tell us there is no need for any cuts.

It's actually the government saying that we can keep borrowing and not have any cutbacks.....

That non-existent magical money tree is alive and well.

Concern level has increased in 3 days

My concern level has fallen. Dublin's 7 day average has fallen. We have proof that level 3 can work.

Doesn't matter. Death is inevitable but we will not allow anybody... And I mean anybody die because of Covid. Everything else be damned.

I think they did comment that it was more slowly than they wanted. Too soon said Dr Phil!

Some of these journalists questions are utterly bizarre
In line with the bizarre journalists we have in this country and many of them see themselves as celebrities during this virus.

I think one thing we can say today is the cases from 4 weeks ago seem to represent the death rate we'll have this time around.

5 deaths from 1 October today.

Everyone wants it to be right on the direction of cases. There's a balance at work here and that could go either way.

Well how would you know, they haven't gave median ages of deaths now for the last month and a half.

Dr Glynn stated last week median age of all deaths is 88 (EightyEight)

Are you counting today's Dublin number being twice yesterday's bringing the average back up above the level of a few days ago when it started falling.

Drunks are putting a big strain on the health system.

One in every five patients admitted to the critical care unit in Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital during the lockdown were there because of booze, a top medic has revealed.

Liver consultant Dr John Ryan believes hospitals around Ireland had similar numbers as drinking reached crisis levels during the pandemic.
