Any indication of when the deaths occurred?

    Why not?

    You made the statement.

You are reading way too much into 1 days numbers. Let's see how tomorrow goes.

    Fair.

A lot of people were reading into good Dublin numbers in the last few days so I'm just putting a wet blanket on that.

I don't need to prove anything to anyone, just like anyone else on here.

    Dublin figures are concerning.

It's almost like closing the pubs and restaurants haven't done anything at all...

Is implication here that it was on government side then?

Well Dublin numbers after 2 and a bit weeks of level 3 were seeming to fall.

If Dublin numbers were around 100 it would be proof level 3 was working in Dublin. Over 200 cases suggests level 3 isn't working. If it doesn't work in Dublin how can it work nationwide.

Dublin numbers today are key imo.

Single days aren't worth much especially how the numbers are reported, those cases could have been from a few days ago. Look at weekly trends for a better indicator.

And anyone wondering, Dublin cases aren't falling, they're rising slowly. Any increase is bad, it's like sticking your finger in a cracked dam, it might be a trickle now but eventually it will blow.

    Would you ever STFU

The way you lot get wound up about what others say is hilarious. It's like something out of The Van. You're not stuck in a tent on an island with him.

If level 3 restrictions were working, should Dublin and Donegal numbers be decreasing

That Leo interview on Claire Bryne is going to age well.

No point in level 3 now for 3 weeks while these numbers are rising. It has to be level 5 immediately.

If you died of the flu but had Covid would you be in the death figures?

Funny that 7-10 days ago NPHET didn't feel any counties needed extra restrictions. Did they drop the ball and panicked and want to hit the lockdown button?

As always it'll be 2-3 weeks to see what happens.

I’m not really liking how they’re trying to do a convincing job now. NPHET said we didn’t need to level 3 last week. They didn’t move Cork or any other counties to level 3 the week before.
How did they not see this coming?

Why these texts "confirming" that hotels are closed. Some may have voluntarily but level 3 allows for hotels to remain open with services for guests only.

With no restaurants and other amenities curtailed or closed? How do people think these business can pay staff, bills and overheads?

Firstly, I was talking about people saying that Hotels have to close. Secondly, I am going on a Dublin staycation this weekend. Hotel open. Restaurant booked. Looking forward to it, just to get semblance of normality as much as can be, and have a drink outside the house!

Dr. Leo has just had his arse handed to him based on watching the first 5 mins of the briefing.

Level 5 coming sooner than Dr. Leo thinks. I'm sure once Dr. Leo now has the circuit breaker lingo drilled into him by his advisors he will find a way to make it his own....
