    Day one of level 3.

    What were you expecting?

Level 3 in Dublin a while now, is there a breakdown of counties?

Dublin is key to seeing if these restrictions work.

Are people thinking Level 3 has a 24hr turnaround period in terms of cases?

Any indication of when the deaths occurred?

In fairness most of your posts seem to be about blaming schools for rising numbers. Almost like you’ve an agenda. This I find quite disturbing, that a member of society would want to deny the youth their education and futures due to some strange obsession with wanting schools closed. Children are not badly affected by Covid, they don’t seem to spread it either especially younger children.

It's hard to believe that this still needs to be spelled out but anyway, someone believing/suggesting that the opening of schools has contributed significantly to the trend we are seeing does not mean that they

    (a) are blaming the children.
They may be questioning the manner in which the schools were opened, the practicality of the covid-19 guidelines within the school, even the reporting of outbreaks in schools but there is no one blaming children for infections picked up in school

    (b) want the schools closed.
Very few people want the schools closed, any teachers I know don't want the schools closed, in fact they don't even want blended or online learning for various personal reasons such as massive increase in workload, lack of resources, training etc., in short they just want to be able to teach in the classroom and feel safe doing so and likewise most parents want their children to taught in the classroom, safely

You talk of agendas but there is an agenda from the same posters to over and over again frame any discussion of the schools role in what we are seeing as either blaming children or wanting schools closed.

Use logic, data, statistics etc. to debate the point but stop making **** up

Same every day with that poster regardless if the numbers, almost like they wait until the numbers are posted to reply with something like that!

    Day one of level 3.

    What were you expecting?

Well Dublin numbers after 2 and a bit weeks of level 3 were seeming to fall.

If Dublin numbers were around 100 it would be proof level 3 was working in Dublin. Over 200 cases suggests level 3 isn't working. If it doesn't work in Dublin how can it work nationwide.

Dublin numbers today are key imo.

Disappointing alright. Still, it's been below 150 for the last 3 days so it's hopefully just a one day glitch

Don't forget Derry-Strabane has the highest per capita incidence on the whole island.

    218 in Dublin
    - 63 in Cork
    - 60 in Donegal
    - 35 in Galway
    - 31 in Kildare
Remaining 204 are located across the 21 other counties (again not stated)

Pubs and restaurants in central Scotland to close from Friday until 25th October.

I wonder will other capital cities follow suit.

    Banging the same old drum.
