Does trump really pay people to do his hair? I find that very hard to believe

Imagine lowering yourself to debating a guys hair. TDS is strong on some.

The fact that it cost 70 grand is the point you're missing

Things the Republicans have lost their shìt over

AOC paying $250 to get her hair done for her birthday.

Obama putting dijon mustard on a burger.

    Obama wearing a tan suit.

Obama golfing (a lot less than Trump has)

To be fair , Trump is the one that claimed a $70k tax deduction for the upkeep of his hair-style which makes it a subject for discussion.

And , regardless of whether it was $7 or the $70,000 he claimed , according to the Treasurer of the Actors Union in the US , it's almost certainly not a valid business expense.

She's a tax attorney and is intimately familiar with what is and isn't tax deductible for actors , TV presenters etc.

If Trump wind the election AGAIN, there will be some back peddling, excuse making, accusations etc.

I doubt any pro democrat will say or think you know what, the democrats are just as responsible for putting forward yet another woeful candidate, so bad the American public would rather have Trump.

On the other hand is boring bumbling Biden gets in and things dont change quickly, the democrats will get slated fast, and the who circus will start up again....and Biden will be lucky to see the 4 years out.

My point is the pro democrats love to harp on how stupid the Trump fan is, not realizing they are doing the very same thing , same deflecting, same get out clauses, same avoidance of answering questions.

Biden might be better than Trump, but they are both shockingly bad candidates

Public speaking is an important part of the job. What is the alternative hypothesis for why Biden, repeatedly, cannot speak words? As an independent, "cognitive decline" sounds kind, it looks like it could honestly be worse than that. Have you watched the videos?

I think most must just watch the carefully curated snippets they show on RTE (and CNN etc) of Biden.

Aha. A new source of the Biden can't speak lie. Joe Rogan's show, shows doctored videos.

Watch the debate tonight, come back to us tomorrow if you think Biden can't speak.

Watch it unedited, it'll be on Youtube.

The 70 grand was to pay for pornstars to pi*s on it to rinse it after it was done. The urea and chloride staining of the roots are what gives it its unique colour. I suppose getting it done like that would bring it up to 70 grand.

I know that sounds bizarre, but then again, this is the Trump presidency we're talking about, bizarre is par for the course.

Either way, it probably won't affect Biden tomorrow night. With no slapping seals to lap up the bland jokes, they could come across as tumbleweed utterances from Trump. Outside of pandering to a crowd, he doesn't have much when he takes to the podium.

An utter abject failure at candidate selection by the Dems.

A worthy and valid point, however the usual response to this is along the lines of

"but trump did not pay his taxes"
"trump has small hands and orange face and funny hair"
    "trump is a racist"
Actually addressing the failings of biden or why the democrats have chosen yet another candidate that leaves a lot to be desired, is always met head on with deflection.

How long was the recent town hall Biden did. An hour and a half I think. With actual coherent answers. I'll take that over 2 hours of Trump blathering nonsense and getting distracted by mosquitos leading to tales of sharks.

And he stood for it all.
He answered the questions and laid out his plans.

Trump mentioned “herd mentality”, could answer the questions and lied.

I'm sure it's on YouTube, but Biden cannot even speak consistently in it, repeatedly. It is much worse than I thought it was, I assumed the Republicans were just exaggerating. Look at the videos, it looks really, really bad.

As yes, Joe Rogan, the paragon of journalistic integrity.

Indeed - Trump doesn't actually understand a lot of what he says and he relies on the audience to let him know if it's good or not.

Watch what happens when he doesn't have an audience - If it's a press briefing he just walks off stage when he doesn't like how it's going , if it's a one on one interview like the ones with Wallace and Swan he just digs deeper and deeper holes for himself by rambling along thinking he's smashing it.

He is utterly lacking self awareness - He walked away from that car-crash Axios interview with Swan thinking it was awesome!

How deluded must someone be to not see that Biden has serious cognitive issues? I mean it's quite common for someone his age. Trump is woefully ignorant, but it's not stemming from cognitive decline. He was always like that. Biden's losing his train of thought and forgetting what he was talking about mid sentence is another matter entirely.

Biden could not hold a 2 hour rally like Trump did, and his issues are going to be painfully obvious in the debates.

Considering the huge volume of recent video of Trump vs Biden, you can find more videos of Biden going off piste in the relatively few interviews he has given than Trump.

I mean, I actually like Biden, but Trump is going to eviscerate him.

An utter abject failure at candidate selection by the Dems.

So the choice is an intelligent man in decline v a man who was always an idiot. Even if this was true I would choose the former.

Also I wonder, if a good strategy for Biden might be to play on the Republicans forced narrative. Perhaps he should show weakness or at least a high level of respect, speak softly etc. Ideally trump's only instinct will kick in and he will attack with unfounded rhetoric. At the end of the day it's just about likeability there is no "debate". I suspect the fact that Hillary attempted to actually talk about policy just annoyed some voters, they don't want to be reminded that they are idiots. It's a pantomime. Biden might be well to maintain the moral high ground and goad Trump into attacking him with weakness. He wants to get Trump foaming at the mouth and a performance that in hindsight looks like playground bullying of a nice older man, the voters won't like that.

His rallies involve Trump flying into an airport, climbing onto a stage 100m from the plane, spouting the exact same stuff and conspiracy theories every night for an hour and a half, getting back on the plane and flying away. Rinse and repeat each time with no vision and plans and are extremely boring and tedious at this stage.

An utter abject failure at candidate selection by the Dems.

So, another candidate would be leading by an even bigger margin? Because Biden's doing really well in polling, which is all we have at this time.

The #IMPOTUS is arguably the worst President in post-WWII history, presiding over a mishandled pandemic, an enormous economic crash, and a huge loss of American soft power worldwide.

So, instead of Biden, who would you have chosen? The goal is: win the election and shift Congressional seats to the Democrats. Retake the Senate.

The Primary voters went resoundingly for Biden. Did they make a bad choice?
Was there a candidate that would have led by an even wider margin at this time?

if he has such obvious mental decline why is trump claiming he is on drugs to prove his performance?

Trump says a lot of things, outside of their obvious entertainment value, i would not take them too seriously.

Look, just because Biden is, clearly, the more decent person, does not mean he is up to this job. The videos are scary, he seems to completely lose his train of thought, he can't remember words, he gets completely lost. It is actually worse than the republicans were making it out to be. How on earth did the choice come down to these two old men!? To an outsider, Biden appears to be a worse candidate than Hillary. I give up, but i will definitely be watching the debates, if nothing else, they do do great entertainment in the US.

Yes I will watch it, even politics is exciting in the US!

Have you watched the videos of Biden? Are you choosing to believe that they are all fake news? Really? That sounds like something Trump would say!

Is there an alternative explanation other than to just call everything "fake news"? Seriously? If Biden does not have a medical issue here, what is the alternative hypothesis?

As a general rule for the videos of Biden that are doing the rounds , if the clips are less than about 20 seconds , they have been edited to remove context etc. to maximise the "Joe Biden is sufering from Dementia" angle.

If you look back in this thread there are/were a number of posters that would post some of these clips pretty much daily , followed shortly afterwards by someone else posting a link to a longer version of the clip that showed that there really wasn't anything to see there.

In fact I'm fairly confident in saying I don't think that there has been a single video posted here showing Bidens supposed "Cognitive decline" that wasn't thoroughly rebutted and refuted pretty quickly and easily.

As if that somehow negates the mental issues of biden.

    Priceless.

Both sides do this - don't pretend otherwise. And why? Because both men are going head to head in this election - they are going to be compared in everything that happens.

A border wall update from CBP to prepare you for the debate tonight. -341 miles of new wall complete
-36 miles in areas where no previous barriers existed
-27 of those 36 miles are a secondary layer of wall.
-Trump has said 450 miles of wall will be completed by year’s end.
