Can you have 2 different orders at once? I.e. 1 digital and 1 non-digital in seperate tabs to see which goes through?

I don’t think so if you open two tabs of smyths and add a console on one when you refresh the tab you will have a console in the basket of the second tab

Ordered the headset and pre-ordered Spiderman, details all saved on Smyths.
I had tomorrow off work anyway, so lets see if I am one of the lucky ones!

I can't find the 1TB drive I got with the Pro. Is there a way to format my 2TB drive so it shows as 1TB? GameStop/CeX won't take it with a swapped out drive.

I'd say write into CeX support and ask if they can give a price/take it as 1tb even though it's 2tb.

When I worked there I distinctly remember trying to get them to give us a price for a 2tb PS4 Slim and they told us to buy it as a 1tb.

Can't see why they wouldn't take it with a swapped HDD it doesn't void warranties to swap them

Have a script created that will constantly refresh the page and purchase a PS5 when they go on sale.

Constantly? How many do you expect to have purchased by the end of the day? Them all?

Any others in Ireland? I’d presume GameStop + Smyths would be the main two?

Gamestop are telling people who preordered in may that they're not guaranteed a console before 2021. **** their 50 quid virtual queue.

I don't want to piss on bonfires but would those who preorder tomorrow know when they are going to get theirs??

    Jesus, didn’t know that.

Yeah, I thought their €50 queue was bull**** tbh. Usual GameStop thieves tho..

No idea, I'm sure when they go live on smyths tomorrow that there will be a release date for them. If it's still Nov 19th, then it should be launch day. Interesting if it says something else though. I imagine these are all for launch day except the Gamestop ones.

Ordered one on Box.co.uk last week. Communication from them has been great, three email updates so far.

Will probably chance Amazon/Smyths tomorrow just to secure another pre-order and cancel the one I'm least confident of closer to release.

Have Amazon said when they'll be available?

Just said tomorrow morning. They did give a time of 9am for the first preorders and they went live at exactly 9am

    Could be same time tomorrow.

Would not go near Gamestop. They have long queues as it is.

Smyths are the only ones here.

Currys and Harvey Norman didnt take any here last week so dont think they will tomorrow either.

Cheers. I'm sure it's been posted already (but searching in Boards is brutal), are Parcel Motel or Address Pal necessary and if so who's better at the minute. I have accounts on both

I thinking these perorder are for the second wave and not launch. There doing perorder in Gamestop in America and it seem these perorders are for December and not launch.

I'm a bit confused - looking to order from Smyths UK by Click and Collect. I have a northern address I can use (my friends). Would I put my friends name down or my own name down alongside the address ? I would need photo I.D. to collect it.

Did they sell out quickly ?

I’d say if you’re ordering from the UK, Parcel Motel wouldn’t be any harm. They usually get to me the fastest whenever I buy from Amazon.

Currently have a preorder in Smyths to collect from the store but the idea of actually collecting it in the current covid times makes me kinda nervous. Think it would be dodgy to try and get a home delivery order tomorrow and cancel the first one?

Though Smyths probably wouldn't allow me to have two preordered at the same time anyway for those few minutes.

Stores were spotty as to which were aware of it but as the morning went on, they all seemed to cop on to it.

They were taking preorders all day but they went past their allocation at around 1pm. They took more after that but weren't guaranteed first day irrespective of whether they were telling people or not. Carrickmines for example stopped taking orders. Other stores took them after lunch still (even with no allocation).

I'm sure some of those post 1pm on the first day will get the consoles nonetheless with the new batch.

But if Currys are getting more, they'd be a good shout to try.

You'll be grand. Wear a mask, socially distance, wash your hands after you get it...... you'll be playing in no time!

Yeah, I'd be disappointed if they didn't have some sort of distance queuing system in place, knowing how busy they should expect to be on the day.
