Is holding out for the worst/best moment not a thing every politician the world over does? Bad news buried at a holiday Or released before elections is pretty standard I’d have thought. Just like Trump wants the vaccine before the election, I doubt anyone thinks he has humanitarian reasons for wanting that. Hilarys emails was certainly timed.

On that note, 50% of Republicans even won't trust a vaccine if it is rushed out before the election: https://www.mediaite.com/news/whopping-59-percent-of-americans-would-distrust-covid-vaccine-released-before-election-including-half-of-republicans/

Even among those voting for Trump 39-44% of them state they wouldn't trust an october-surprise vaccine.

How many of them wouldn't trust a vaccine in any case?

I dont think anyone should trust any vaccine that is rushed out. How many years do these things normally take? Thalidomide springs to mind

Thalidomide wasn’t a vaccine. That’s a ridiculous comparison. Which I don’t believe “springs to mind” either. I’ve seen this same answer from multiple posters across boards. I imagine you’re all getting the same talking points from the same grifter.

Was not comparing them you know that. I was making a point that rushing to market can be dangerous. Everyone knows about the Thalidomide fiasco

the candidate you support would have no issue rushing a vaccine through. do you have any comment on that?

I would disagree with kid chameleon on nearly everything but he’s right rushing out a vaccine is a bad idea. I don’t think it will happen however.

Thalidomide certainly came to mind for me, whilst it wasn’t a vaccine it was an improperly tested drug.

Its a facinating story, I recommend looking into it if you have time https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thalidomide. Check out some documentaries on YouTube also.

As far as music cognition goes I’m usually far more of a melody guy than the poetry, which tends to get phased out by me over the song aesthetics; just not a tragedy I was cognizant of sorry to say :o

She says that at one point Trump asked whether COVID might be a good thing, because it meant he didn't have to shake hands with "those disgusting people" anymore. Just confirming the contempt he has for the American people.

I wonder what excuse the Trump zealots will have for this?

Same ones as used for any other incident, unless they get inventive.

That might because - and correct me if I'm wrong here - but you are American, like me, and this was one of the few instances where America got things right and never officially approved thalidomide for use in the US. Some samples were given out, but we didn't see nearly the number of devastating cases that some European countries saw.

Ah to have a functioning federal government again.

Trump Announces 'Patriotic Education' Commission, A Largely Political Move

Absolutely awful stuff that will hopefully have no real effect whatsoever. There's little difference between a nonsense idea like this, and the CCP forcing patriotic education on Chinese children. They'll also claim with a completely straight face that their version of history is the "truth".

Because the right is losing their minds over the 1619 Project. There’s violent denial going on of our racist history.

“I'm not going to be a Democratic President. I'm going to be America's President.”

"So we’re down in this territory,"
"And that’s despite the fact that the blue states had had tremendous death rates. If you take the blue states out, we’re at a level that I don’t think anybody in the world would be at. We’re really at a very low level. But some of the states, they were blue states and blue state-managed."

That is one very brave woman. I'm hoping to be wrong, but she should be prepared to go into hiding till after the election. The GOP will loose their maniacs after her.

As for how the zealots on Boards are reacting, the usual - Bill Kristol posted this! He's a Neocon! (not bothering to realize Kristol was linking to another site.) She's a Bush republican! (she voted for Trump, worked in his administration, etc etc.)

They have no defense, they'll be deflecting left and right. A day or two will go by and there'll be something else. Do we hear much about the Atlantic article from a fortnight ago? Nah. There's been way too much else to keep up with.

Did she say the #IMPOTUS's odious blathering was made at Corona virus taskforce meeting? Even the #IMPOTUS might not be that stupid all the time.

And, you've got your evidence - someone stating something in public. What more do you need?

In related news, other members of the admin are bailing and stating bad things for the record about the #IMPOTUS. There's a group forming called "REPAIR"
of ex-Senior WH staff members offering to help clean up the mess once the #IMPOTUS and his failed administration are gone. Now, I think this is just swamp dwellers looking for a gig continuation, but I don't recall similar groups forming before previous elections. Do you?

True and maybe she is lying so it's up to each individual person to decide who they are going to believe.

I think it's safe to say that Trump supporters are going to believe his version of the events rather than her version of them.

I don't believe something just because it's said in public plenty of lies are told in public and behind closed doors.
