So Dublin households are limited to visits from one other household? Previously we were told it'd be two.

Didn't you say that already? I don't think they're that pushed about Kilkenny anymore, it's like Temple Bar, but with funnier accents.

Kilkenny! Are you mad - Blessington for me!:D

Do you have to defeat a boss at the end of each level? How many lives do you get.

This isn't a plan, this doesnt even ahve the makings of a plan.

This is waffle. upon more waffle with a little twinge of 'oh how can we not annoy the Dubs and make ti look different for the one place that needs it"

No plan for large sporting events, no plan for Christmas. This is meant to cover 6 months

We knew is would be bad, this is shambolic

    From the 'Plan'

Visitors from one other household only or up to 6 visitors from 2/3 other households.

So, we're going to dramatically turn the situation around in Dublin by all trying a bit harder and not opening pints pubs?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,780 ✭✭✭✭ninebeanrows

So realistically nobody is going to pay any heed to this nonsense apart from the wet bars not opening in Dublin

    Time to end this farce

Can we use that term instead of wet pubs from now on ?

    Don't forget the four W's..!

    Wash yisser hands
    Wear a mask
    Watch your distance
    Work from home

*Actual four W's may differ from above. I forgot them as soon as they were said by Leo.

Exactly, we're going to stop Dublin's increasing numbers by carrying on exactly the same.

Not one at this stage is actually going to listen to the household advice.

That tweet is wrong - in the plan there is no distinction made for social gatherings dublin/outside dublin - where is she coming from

Why can’t we send some of our people over to Germany, see what they are doing and report back with guidance is best practice and workable

This ‘plan’ is like some points made up in a focus group

    It is shambolic

    Absolute shambles.

I thought the Cowen days where a low point for my country but this lot are beyond that now in terms of leadership.

    But now it says:

    In your home or garden

    In Dublin:

visitors from 1 other household only (maximum 6 people)
    Everywhere else:

visitors from 1-3 other households (maximum 6 people)
This will be determined by the prevailing public health advice for the county or other defined geographical area.

When they say one household visiting do they mean one household at a time ? Can you have another household another day ?

I would imagine one household only at all. What would be the point of say the mother Mary having Brigid from next door around for coffee in the morning, 8 year old Luke having a play date with his bestie straight after school. Sinéad aged 12 has her friend around for a study session at 5pm and Dad Dave's buddy calls aound with a 6 pack in the evening. You could have 4 different households there which quadruples the chance of infection but because they are all at different times people think everything is OK.

Yay. That piece of advice from NPHET seems to have been ignored by Government.
