Would anyone be willing to share an up-to-date contract or criminal grid with me?

Hey guys I would really appreciate some advise on this- I have 4 exams left Tort, Constitutional, Company and EU. Over the next two sittings, which of the above would people advise to leave until next March, I have most the ground work done in EU so I would prefer to get that done this October. I don’t want to leave myself with a ridiculously hard exam to sit for the first time in mar ch? Any words of wisdom hugely appreciated !

Company is very easy and people do well in it.

I’d probably say tort along with EU

So then company and constitutional together. You’ll have more time for constitutional and it can be a real hard one to wrap your head around

Last march's contract exam seems very surprising. Neither offer and acceptance, terms, nor exemption clauses came up.

Yeah, I would be interested in seeing the paper but it still cannot be purchased from the Law Society website.

I would really appreciate the Criminal March paper if you wouldn't mind sharing? I unfortunately am not doing company or constitutional yet only EU.

PM me your email and I can send them

Went through the thread and this was posted after the March exam.

Q1- Formal statutory requirements eg Statute of Frauds and would have said agreements to agree- some recent case law Morris v Swanton?- PQ
Q2- Frustration and something else- cancellation of contract with no deposit and no performance wants to sue for breach??- PQ
Q3- Damages- remoteness, heads of damages inc emotional distress and duty to mitigate-PQ
Q4- Consideration mostly - performance of already existing contractual duty and rule in pinnel case- similar facts to Williams v Roffey Bros & Nicholls- then duress was mentioned and couldn't figure Maire part- wanted to sue contractor for breach but there was a subcontractor maybe privity?- PQ
Q5-entitled to treat itself discharged as a result of breach- E
Q6- statutory limitations on exclusion clauses- E
Q7- Ref to irish law, penalty clauses- E
    Q8 A- common mistake OR B promissory estoppel- E

I've being going through a similar debate myself the past three days. I was planning on doing criminal, contract and constitutional this October, and doing the other five next March.

Now I have very little done for Constitutional, and with 4 weeks to go I've been considering swapping it for Company, but the thoughts of having to do EU, Tort and Constitutional together . . .

Was just looking to see whether any firms had opened their application process and came across A&L Goodbody’s statement that they will not be conducting a trainee milk round recruitment process this Autumn. Rather concerning..

That is very concerning ... I was only looking a few days ago and I didn't notice that message. Hopefully not a common theme for "milkround" this year!

I don't think William Fry will be holding Milkrounds this year either.

DLA Piper have said that they have all training contract positions filled until 2023. They took trainees through the internship last year though so not sure if that will affect anything

Yeah certain firms don't do Milkrounds - Maples Group and MHC - as they take all of their trainees through the internship programme.

no its says deadline is Sept 28 and no applications will be accepted after this date as they need to confirm numbers for venues.

It seems I'm not the only one that finds Griffiths College's sample answers to be a bit rubbish :D

I had the same issue. I went into a new tab and opened the law society page, logged in and my applicant was there at 12%, when I went on from there it allowed me to complete the application.

Hope it helps and works :)
