I see that Leicester have sacked their head physio of over 20 years, and will probably eventually replace him with Brendan Rodgers own head of performance instead. The reasoning is that Madisson & Chilwell were injured for the run in and they feel this cost them a Champions League place.

This comes after the previous Leicester head of recruitment was also sacked, and replaced by a person who worked with Rodgers at Chelsea, Watford & Celtic.

Those of us that work for corporations, particularly in an office environment will be well aware of the scapegoat concept.

On paper! Not sure Frank can set up a consistent team particularly at the back. Chilwell and Silva should improve it but they need a keeper badly. Experienced commanding keeper would make the world of difference

I think we have a winner for the worst kit ever. Sweet Jesus that thing is awful.

Look at the matching shirts :pac: it can't be real can it?

I'd assume that's a joke made up because it looks like a prison uniform for Maguire

No the jersey had been rumoured before the Maguire thing. This is the first time I've seen the shorts though.

Not really surprising. The blame always lies with someone else but the positives are solely down to him. After his final full season at Liverpool he sacrificed his whole back room team to save himself. Only got the boot when there was nobody else to take the fall.

The players remaining fit was down to Rodgers & injuries were because of the physio. Makes sense!

I think he is a brilliant coach but he fails in most other aspects of management, which ultimately leads to his downfall.

liverpool were're flying back from the backside of the world, playing them away
it was going to be a tough game
    and we TROUNCED them

    Decent squad i'd say

Keepers poor , CB still poor , CM still looks a big light,

City, Liverpool still have better squads in my opinion and Liverpool to add before the window is closed

I also think Untied wil have a better squad by the time the transfer window is over,

Also no one know how any of Chelsea signing will fair,

CM still looks a big light

    Kante
    Jorginho
    Kovacic
    Barkley
    Havertz
    Gilmore
    Loftus-Cheek

It's not that bad. They also have £75m on the books in the form of Bakayoko and Drinkwater as well as just giving Marko van Ginkel, a player with more international caps than Chelsea appearances in his 7 years with the club, yet another contract extension.

I think it's Kante + Havertz and one other most games, likely Kovacic and those bench options look fine to me.

Keeper is their only obvious weakness for me

Havertz has spent the whole second half of the season as a striker and according to people Germany that where he played his best football ,

In any case he'll be a midfielder for Chelsea, the most advanced of a 3 more than likely

Chelsea aren't light at midfield by any stretch, perhaps a little lopsided though and one of the reasons Rice as DM cover is being looked at

When I said light I meant light weight, Rice links make sense,

Who do you think will partner Silva at CB ?
Will CP or James play right back or will it be 3 at the back .

Zouma finished the season best, could also be Rudiger since he has the most potential to be a "leader" at the back, coin toss between those 2

I assume by CP you mean Azpilicueta, he'll still play more than likely esp being captain. The go to formation will be 433, maybe 3/5 atb in big games but most games will be 433

Ah that's crazy, at this stage. It was bad at the start, with players sneaking out in March and April, it hit a new low with the stupidity of the Celtic player, but breaking restrictions while on international duty?

They should be sent home and dropped from international selection for a long time. I mean, even Jack Grealish managed to stay in.

United PR person must wake up every day thinking ''How could my day get worse''

Interesting to see how this unfolds.

What ever happened to the Celtic chap? Last I heard Lennon wanted to leave him at the side of the road.

    Had maybe more appropiate.

Expensive mess up by the pair of them in more ways than one. Wasn't it Greenwood's first call-up too?

Is that both players first time with the senior team? You'd think they'd have the common sense to make a good impression.

Edit: Laporte and Mahrez tested positive for Covid-19 as well.

Not outraged as such, just baffled by the stupidity involved.

Not as much as I might be about the war in Syria or Yemen.

I think insofar as anything is football can be "outrageous", this is up there.
