    Total car crash.

So the people in dark clothing on plane are the migrant caravan of 2020 then ?

My understanding is the first guy approached him unarmed to take the weapon off him and he shot him. A second guy then followed him and whilst having a weapon in his hand had his hands up when he was shot.

A young underage white man walks past multiple police vehicles whilst people are shouting that he's shot people, carrying a long rifle, and he's not intercepted. He just sits into his car and drives home, to another state. Don't think a black man would get far.

    1. A call goes out on Facebook to rally people who are prepared to arm themselves to 'protect property' from people who have burned and looted property over recent days. This results in a number of men from outside Kenosha, armed with semi-automatic rifles, coming into Kenosha and generally moving around an area where protests have taken place and where fringe elements of those protests have been involved in attacking/ burning property. This group of 'armed citizens' appear to be acting as private armed security with the blessing and thanks of some Kenosha tactical response police. They are offered water by those police and appear to be able to mill around at will.

    2. 17 year old Kyle RIttenhouse (KR) came into Kenosha from a town 20 miles away in another state, and is seen moving around with his AR- style rifle throughout the afternoon along with older armed men. He tells various camera holders that he is there to help, including offering first aid to anyone who needs it.

    3. There's a shouting and general scuffling scene down at a car lube place between two angry groups, one of which appears to be self-appointed armed 'security' for the property. The other appears to be remnants of an earlier Jacob Blake (JB) protest who are engaged in a 'stand-off' with the 'armed citizens' group.

    4. KR is seen going in and out of the group of unarmed JB protestors.

    5. An un-identified person fires a handgun into the air 10 or so yards away from KR. A different man lunges at KR and throws what appears to be a plastic bag at him. KR shoots a burst of fire at this man, killing him.

    6. While people jump in to help the victim, KR leaves that area, calls a friend on the phone, and tells him that he has just shot someone.

    7. Bystanders see that there's a man down, have seen/heard the shots and see KR walking/running away. He heads down the street with people following him who are shouting that this guy just shot someone. He is moving away from the 1st scene when people try to tackle him (generally in-effectively) until he trips and falls at a point in the middle of the street a couple of hundred yards away from the initial shooting.

    8. A man carrying a skateboard tackles KR on the ground and tries to get the gun. He fails, and as he tries to run off again, still carrying his skateboard, he is shot a number of times by KR and dies. Another man, seen holding a handgun, is shot in the arm/elbow.

    9. KR gets up and walks/runs further away from the initial shooting towards a group of police who had been stationed further down the street. He appears to hold hands up and drop them on and off and people are running on the footpaths in line with him but away from him and shouting that he has shot people.

    10. Police move up in armoured vehicles towards the scene of the second shooting and tell KR to get off the street. No attempt is made to have him drop weapons or to arrest him.

    11. KR leaves Kenosha and goes home.

    Now, try this mind exercise:

    1. In what universe, can a reasonable minded person (not to mention a POTUS) not say that Rittenhouse was in the wrong on so many levels?
    2. How would that whole scene have played out if Rittenhouse was black?

He just called the Mayor of Kenosha and idiot who supported anarchists - he doesn't. A lie

He just claimed he sent in the national guard to quell the rioting - he didn't. A lie. The commander in chief of the Wisconsin National Guard is the governor. Everybody knows this.

Why does he tell such blatant and unbelievable lies and get away with it?

Well because for the previous nearly 70 years of his life the current POTUS could lie through his back teeth and there were no consequences of any note to these lies. As we see from the book by his niece lying was part of the family business. He’s always done it and he became the most powerful man in the world in 2016 while talking utter scutter, so the phrase if it’s not broke don’t fix it comes to mind.

Also, when was the last time a sitting US president running for re-election framed the campaign as if they were the outsider and someone else, not them were responsible for the problems ?

Every one of these lies is simply propaganda.

The naked truth is that Trump is using fear as his ultimate weapon. Stoking that fear by whatever means necessary is the strategy.

Forget truth! Forget honesty! Forget decency! Forget humanity! It's has now become all about fear!

They are focussing totally on white people and harnessing their inate fear that someone/everyone is coming to take away their homes, guns, privilege, God, children and anything else they hold dear.

Full-blown, unhinged white supremacist bollixology that is trading on the gullibility and fears of people who have something/everything and who therefore have something/everything to lose.

And.... It's only going to get worse!

Because he has built up a cult, who agree wholeheartedly and entirely when he says one thing, and then agree wholeheartedly and entirely when he says the opposite. It doesn't matter a jot what he says, they will agree with it.

Like for example how covid was a hoax made up by the democrats to make him look bad, but he was also doing everything he could to stop this very real and dangerous virus that isn't even a big deal nor worth locking down over, or wearing a mask to prevent against except when he wore a mask which proves how serious this is and how seriously he is taking it even though it's not a big deal and only 6% of the supposed 180,000+ have died from it, which is why it is such a big deal that nobody could stop and the only reason for America's economy falling through the floor which it totally hasn't, which would have happened no matter who was in charge, which shows how well Trump is dealing with this crisis where others would have failed.

I had a look back at some footage screened by CNN where a person [supposedly KR] is walking towards a police car and a large police armoured vehicle holding his arms out from his body, and in one clip, his rifle by the barrel. The police car went into reverse and disappeared back down the street away from him and the armoured vehicle which drove up past him. He wasn't stopped by the police.

Ref yesterday's interview with Laura, an important thing is how it will affect the intent of the voters. He sees the tag BLM as offensive to him, the title as discriminatory to blacks and the group full of thugs. He inherited Dr Fauci.

Trump is saying that he didn’t have several mini strokes which was the reason he had to go to Walter Reed hospital which was shrouded in mystery. The media seemed to have no inkling as to what it was about since it happened. Is this a case of him getting out in front of a story that isn’t really a story like the walking down a ramp at West Point which wasn’t a thing until he brought it up.

It does seem it’s in a new book to be released and the presidents doctor has released a statement saying the media reporting is false. The issue though is the media weren’t reporting it because they’ve had the reporter from the New York Times who has written the book on and he’s mentioned parts of it but you’d think he’d mention this very serious allegation but he hasn’t as far as I know. So again Donald trump is getting ahead of his skis on this. The only reason it’s trending is because of the president mentioning it, which I’m sure will do the books sales the world of good.

Desperate tactic ? So the White House aides told to apparently have mike pence on standby just made this story up then is basically what you are saying. This White House leaks so bad it makes the titanic which is in two parts at the bottom of the North Atlantic a sea worthy vessel.

Okay. That’s not really relevant though is it ? It’s highly unlikely that joe Biden and mike pence will be presidential candidates together. I will say that while joe Biden isn’t perfect at least he doesn’t come across as disingenuous like mike pence does. Mike pence professes to be a devout Christian yet he serves as Vice President for a guy who wouldn’t know Christianity if it was bright blue and slapped him.

I’ve seen that but it was the president’s doctor who mentions strokes and I don’t think a VP has to take the oath when the 25th amendment(the part involving temporary transfer of power) because it’s not a permanent change. But until now all anyone knew was it was a non scheduled visit. The president has said the word stroke.

On the number of social grouping constituencies and professional classes, how many has Don not offended against?

The medics at all levels would have to be pissed off with him due to his "many people" quotes and advice-offering to the public at large on self treatment and protective actions to take where Covid-19 is concerned. How many other groups, aside from ethnic groups, has his handling of the nation's affairs affected negatively which may cause backlash on the 3rd Nov?

Is it too early to start checking to see how many GOP candidates will be asking him not to show up as a supporting act at their local and state election rallies?

There is a book coming out which claims it, that is what he is getting ahead off. Would be interesting to see the details in it. The thoughts of Mike Pence being sworn in, gives one shivers. Could imagine the power going to his head and standing up shouting "Mother, I told you I would make it", then going full Joffery.

Something definitely happened, whether it be mini-stroke or not.

Pence was caught off guard by the question and it was clear he was trying to give an answer without telling the truth, but also without coming across as lying.

His line that a VP is always ready to take over is the key one, IMO. He is accepting that he was informed that that time might be now, but without having to admit that he was actually told about it.

Of course the main issue for Trump is one of his own making. He has lied so consistently and on such trivial matters so much in the past 4 years, that everything he now says, apart from his supporters who don't care about the veracity of anything he says, is taken at best with a pinch of salt and the more personal it is the more likely it is to be a lie.

And even worse, it was Tump team that brought medical issues into the race by continually deeming that Biedn was suffering dementia or other mental decline.

Trumps tweets yesterday on this came across to me as him only drawing attention to it with the way he was trying to refute it.

History of Trump shows us that he is trying to put target something particular in the story so that he can deny that, as make it look like the entire story is false.

Take Pence answer yesterday. Did someone actually inform him to get ready to take over? Probably not, as it would be inherent if he was told that Trump was being rushed to hospital.

So he can say, truthfully, that no one said to him on that day to get ready to assume command. And then you focus on that rather than the substantive part of the story to decry it as fake news.

They have used this tactic numerous times over the last 4 years. 1st the story is completely fake news, then no actual denials, as it is fake news. Then agree that parts of it as true, but not as reported. By the time that comes out a new issue as arisen

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,903 ✭✭✭CelticRambler

They way I see this whole episode is the anti-Trumpers (Reps as well as Dems) playing Trump at his own game. I saw the Lincoln Project run a #trumpisnotwell ad last week (?) and thought "that'll get him riled up" and sure enough, now he's riled up and tweeting denials of things that were never overtly stated.

To an extent, Trump is right now: it has become a witchhunt - but only because he's made himself into an easy, predictable, very huntable target. I suspect we'll see an awful lot more of this between now and November, and some of these conspiracy theories are going to lodge in the brains of his base.

In other news, seems like there's an investigation into the 2016 #IMPOTUS inauguration event, which cost his sheep $107million in donations, and may not have been on the up-and-up. The 'event planner' was thrown under the bus by the WH. Thing is, she was friends with the FLOTUS which is how she got the job, but once it became clear she'd take the fall for the alleged swindling, she tape-recorded conversations with the FLOTUS. Be interesting if in fact there are chargeable offenses that include the FLOTUS coming out of this.

Well, there's been a criminal investigation ongoing on this whole inauguration thing for over a year now. Wolkoff herself is said to be cooperating fully with that investigation, after she had been ' scapegoated' by the WH, and she started taping her calls with Melania and others "to protect herself". It's seems a company she set up dealt with some $25+ million of the $107 million, from which she earned $1.6 million herself.

The whole thing appears to be an example of another giant grift, and Trump businesses were large-scale beneficiaries of the project. I don't know who's handling the investigation, but I'm sure it won't produce any indictments this side of November if Billy Barr has his way...

Holy ****, that cans of soup monologue was off the wall, even for him. The man is unhinged. You’d have to fear for the outlook in the US for the next decade, regardless of whether he wins the election or not. He has stoked so much hate and fear and created so many divisions, massive amounts of violence seems inevitable.
It’s actually unbelievable to see that there’s a movement on Twitter promoting that kid who shot a load of people as a true patriot who should be freed immediately.

So disheartening to see what is going on at the moment. Everyone is calling for peaceful protests as any violence plays right into the hands of the right wing. Seems to be evidence of far right players using BLM protests to cause the very mayhem that Donald wants, so he can label anyone not on his 'law and order' side Antifa, do nothing Dems, etc.

Meanwhile the focus moves entirely away from the inept pandemic mismanagement that has caused so much more chaos than a few riots.

It's far easier to stay one step ahead when you don't care about the damage you cause along the way, and he is determined to tear the country apart to protect himself.

Indeed , the 1st person to mention "Stroke" , min or otherwise was Trump.

A number of people had been asking questions about the Walter Reede visit , which popped back up into the news in recent days with the book release talking about Pence being lined up to take over etc.

But that didn't mention Strokes - Only Trump did, and the fact that he specifically said "a series of Mini-Strokes" is perhaps telling.

Why deny "a series of mini-strokes" specifically?

Indeed , the 1st person to mention "Stroke" , min or otherwise was Trump.

A number of people had been asking questions about the Walter Reede visit , which popped back up into the news in recent days with the book release talking about Pence being lined up to take over etc.

I know he has been as mad as a bag of cats forever but since then has there been a notable difference, I know anecdotally he seems to be, especially in the last 4 or 5 interviews. Did you see Laura Ingram doing cartwheels to stop him going off the rails? This isn't good whether he is re-elected or not.

Laura Ingraham was like his handler trying to keep him on track and kept covering for his mad ramblings "but that's not what you're saying....". It was bizarre.

Any Trump supporter claiming Biden is mentally unfit, should be downright alarmed at Trump's behaviour.

You see, that's the joy of projection. You get your lie out about the opposition (that you're really suffering from/participating in), so when the real accusations come out, one just engages in whataboutisms

And anyone that tried to claim that there is an MSM is against Trump needs only watch that excuse for an interview and see that FOX news is 100% working as the PR communications arm of Trump.
