Are people still working at the moment or studying full time for the October exams? I'm a nervous wreck waiting for the tort results so I can see whether I have to do 3 or 4 exams in October....
Still working full time and basically studying when and where I can.. Not very successful so far.

You’ll get an email and they’ll be posted online in your law society account

You are supposed to get a letter but I never received one from March so they probably won’t send out one

Does anyone have the property, contract and constitutional exam paper from March 2020 by any chance?

I have the company, criminal, equity and EU papers from March 2020 for a swap!

My advice would be to know the main provisions in the constitution really well. Have your constitution highlighted and tabbed far in advance and know where everything is.
Also, the problem questions in the paper can be quite varied with a lot of topics mixed in. Avoid leaving out big chunks of the course and have a general knowledge of each topic.
Also the examiner seems to prefer good strong arguments rather than regurgitating everything you know on a topic and just name dropping case law. Oran Doyle and Gerry Whyte have released good articles on some of the main topics in the constitutional law course. These can be good to reference in essay questions!

Has anyone hoping to start PPC1 next week but waiting on results heard anything from law society?

Yes, what is wrong with the LS? We are literally supposed to start in 6 days!

The website has changed ever so slightly... the August dates are gone. Please please say this means the results are due SOON!

Signing into the results section has also shown the message “your results will appear here shortly” since Monday

Hi All, I am waiting on a result as well but not for PPC1, thank god ! Can I ask all those that are potentially starting PPC1 in 6 days , have you all your paperwork , funds in place etc ? If this is the case, my heart really goes out to you. It's an absolute disgrace that you are in this awful position.

Does anyone know when the timetable for the October 2020 sitting is due to be released? I’m also wondering if there’s a chance remote exams will be facilitated. I’m working abroad and was hoping not to have to travel. Thanks!

It’s due to be released by the end of this week I was told. Provisional dates are 6-16th of October starting with tort and ending with Eu. No word on remote exams I have my doubts that they would do it for so many students but depends on the guidelines because atm only 6 people are allowed in doors. If it is increased back up I’d say exams will be in person

Would you know the "provisional" date for Constitution in October? Please.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43 Hiya1234

I saw a timetable doing the rounds a couple weeks back with Constitutional being Wednesday October 14th.

I asked the Law Society to confirm or deny the credibility of the timetable and they refused to. They simply said the October timetable will be released shortly.

Yeah that’s my position atm. Everything sorted except my last result. Worried I’m missing out on important emails etc because I’m not properly registered, but I am supposed to be starting.

Also we haven’t actually been told that the results will be out before next week.... so I don’t know what the situation is

The Law Society have previously accepted late applications/starting of the PPC1 so I would not worry about missing a week or two especially when the material will be available online.
