    For golden girl
advice re music hasnt changed :
Choir rehearsals have previously been linked to outbreaks in a number of countries (UK, US, Netherlands, South Korea). In addition, there is some evidence emerging that the playing of brass and some woodwind instruments (e.g. trumpets, trombones, flutes) in groups may be associated with a higher risk of infection due to increased droplet transmission or aerosol emission.

Given the potential increased risk of transmission especially due to group singing, choirs and playing brass and some wind instruments in groups, the following precautions are recommended:

    Choir practice, teaching and performance, brass and wind instruments music group practice, teaching and performance should be done while maintaining very strict physical distancing of a minimum of 2 metres from other people, ideally outdoors, limit duration of indoor practice, teaching and performance with frequent breaks to facilitate regular ventilation of rooms and instrument cleaning (where applicable);

Singers, choirs and musicians of brass and some woodwind instruments should consider protective equipment and measures to minimise the potential for droplet or aerosol emission (e.g. instrument covers, screens, face coverings etc).

Where group practice or performances are organised, a risk assessment should be carried out to minimise the risk to the participants and their audience, including bearing in mind the age profile and risk factors of theparticipants/audience in

The city has been like that for the last year. I never need to go anywhere besides Paul Street, Patrick's Street, Oliver Plunkett Street and down towards UCC, and avoid the quays, so rarely see them anymore.

This was on Patrick's Street, which was fairly packed

I would be one who in the past would have given a euro or two euros to someone on the street and donated to Cork Simon and Penny Dinners but today really turned me off :( it was scary too in your face

I know you get the stats off the hub but your better off double checking them. For example it says 0 discharged this is not correct, Portlaoise discharged a paitent for example. Likewise with St Vincents.
Available to see in HSE Operations report. Compare the 2 days and you'll see where the discharges occur

hse report usually comes out later, sods law out early. I'll stick with the numbers I have for the hub which also changes a few times a day. Will be updated on hib tomorrow

HSE report is the majorty of the time out before 10pm.

As I say HSE Operations report is given with 3 time frames and is more accurate each night than the hub.

As I said, more accurate data at night in HSE report and not hub

You can compare both days and data will show you where discharges have occurred, where hosptial tests have lead to admissions.

Hub data lags between HPSC & HSE on certain data points. Admissions and discharges being one.

Its essentially dismissing a data source thats accurate as of 2hrs ago.

Agreed. The problem areas need to be sorted out. It was all highlighted here during the day.

The biggest issues are the meat plants and the work related issues - the care home case today, the symptomatic retail worker going to work.

    Sort them problems out.

Talking of another lockdown the very week children go back to school - please spare me.

I like the age and county breakdown, particularly the age , as it makes sense of the numbers for me .
