Went down to 23 so and back up with the 7 new cases. You'd expect it to drop again tomorrow.

Yup with 7 cases and an increase overall of 2 when you compare the numbers across hosptials last few days you can see postive test in hosptial = in the majority of cases an admission.

Quite often then these cases appear to be discharged the next day.

Anyway cases are fairly well spread out across the hosptial system, UHL the most with 5. Majority reporting 1 & 2 cases

Primetime starting shortly and on again about going into a national lockdown

    Just looked at it.

What on earth are they at ?

Glynn addressed this earlier this evening.

Chair of the covid Committee on, this'll be fun. He tore into Donnelly yesterday

I'm sure a lot of it is people coming in for other procedures and then testing positive.

If we do bring it to zero in this country, what do we then do?

Go back to living like normal, and then it comes back again...sounds familiar...

Another lockdown me hole. It's no more deadly than the common flu at this stage.

This has to change ASAP. This is the very S hit that has dragged America down. People couldnt afford time off from work.

I thought there was a covid illness payment brought in by Leo. Where is that now? What does that covid payment cover? Illness? Illness from a positive test? Isolation?

What was the point of putting us under lockdown for a few months and putting restrictions on us to suppress the virus when there is a problem with workers and pay? How is having poor work conditions where people feel the need to work while sick going to help thi8going forward?

The whole thing is a mess.

What is the point of following guidelines and crashing the economy for suppressing a virus when they turn around and dump on us like this. Urging us to keep our contacts low when employers and colleagues can literally piss on our backs.

I think the payment is still there but reduced or due to be reduced for those earning less than the payment a week . Not sure about the details to be honest . But Glynn said this evening they have asked the government to again ensure it is not going to be a problem .

Unions have asked for Covid to be declared an occupational illness , for healthcare and other workers .
It has taken a big chunk from a lot of workers , isolating , off sick and some not able to return to work . And no guarantee that childcare and other expenses will be paid for .
My post was really about the treatment and attitude of some bosses towards migrant workers whose English is not good and are vulnerable in every sense of the word , especially now. You get a manager screaming down the phone at them if they are not feeling well , it's not so easy for them to stand up to that bullying . You or I would know exactly what to say or do , but some of these line managers would not be easy to talk to and confide in , to put it mildly .

Nouns and adjectives, makes perfect sense. He should perhaps try and dumb down his speech for some of the audience here.
