    No. Why? They're not effective.

Workplaces do temperature checks. Thought schools might have to as well. Schools in Asian countries have been doing temperature checks.

Watching the news there and they go on about distancing and washing hands. Very little emphasis on masks.

What is employment law on sick pay? I would have presumed it was illegal to not have a policy on sick days, sick time and sick pay.

The way employment has gone in the last few years workers protections are being stripped away.

There are 10s of thousands of workers on zero hour contracts with no rights. Technically they are self employed. Miss work and no pay. No excuses.

So a scenario where a worker has to pay rent of say €200 a week but is only been given 20 hours work in a week, will have to work every hour just to cover rent. These people are in a desperate situation and need to go into work. The govt have done nothing to protect these people and ultimately protect society.

A handful are in or moving into the mass testing Phase 3 of clinical trials but it will very likely be next year before we see anything concrete.

    Thanks....I'll take a look

Well they need their premises burned down then, don't they.

We're just trying to keep it at a manageable level that the health service and economy can cope with.

Thank Jesus I decided to not watch it tonight. I couldn’t handle him. I honestly some in the media can’t get enough of COVID-19. Report on it yes but let’s be sensible. Apparently kids aren’t smart enough to not drink hand sanitizer ffs.

Are they doing temperature checks in schools?

Parents can do it in the mornings before they leave the house.

And they have been told this would be an issue when people are desperate and can't afford to ring in sick ...another problem for / with this government.

The city has been like that for the last year. I never need to go anywhere besides Paul Street, Patrick's Street, Oliver Plunkett Street and down towards UCC, and avoid the quays, so rarely see them anymore.

Apart from singing or wind instruments otherwise they should just count towards numbers in the room.
Singing... best practise 5msq around them and well ventilated room.(last time I checked). wouldnt want audience singin along either.

World music center in university limerick has good links regaring best practise . also information on gov.ie

    HSE Operations report

30 covid patients in hosptial increase of 2.

5 in ICU, increase of 1.

7 cases confirmed in hosptials today.

Much like the last few days based on the numbers versus yesterday it appears that those that test postive in hosptial are being admitted for 1 night at least.

New cases are, Kilkenny 2, 1 each in Beaumont, Crumlin, Letterkenny, UHL & Wexford

This has to change ASAP. This is the very S hit that has dragged America down. People couldnt afford time off from work.

I thought there was a covid illness payment brought in by Leo. Where is that now? What does that covid payment cover? Illness? Illness from a positive test? Isolation?

What was the point of putting us under lockdown for a few months and putting restrictions on us to suppress the virus when there is a problem with workers and pay? How is having poor work conditions where people feel the need to work while sick going to help thi8going forward?

The whole thing is a mess.

What is the point of following guidelines and crashing the economy for suppressing a virus when they turn around and dump on us like this. Urging us to keep our contacts low when employers and colleagues can literally piss on our backs.

Went down to 23 so and back up with the 7 new cases. You'd expect it to drop again tomorrow.

I work for a very large (US) company and while technically there is sick pay, there are also annual bonuses based on attendance. So if you're sick, they basically deduct the sick pay in the next bonus. The obvious outcome is that most people come to the office even if they are sick.

All company locations are still closed and everyone is working remotely. But I can understand why these cases of people not calling in sick are happening in other workplaces.

Anywhere but I think kilarney INEC probably ran their situation across with public health first.
The 5msq was regarding a solo singer not a choir or anything. It came from research I saw via Irish world music center in limerick on their website.
I will try track down gov.ie page for you, but I do know it was general music and had no mention of weddings on it.
And was about a month ago discussing rehearsals, I posted a link here somewhere will check to see if updated
edit found it from 7 weeks ago
