Would you not be best just staying out of your friends business. Not much of a friend if your into doing this on her

Interesting approach to criticise the person who wants to be socially responsible.

The Italian Government has set up free voluntary COVID-19 tests from 24th August to 5th September for teaching and non-teaching staff.

    Mentioned in this piece.

You're duty is to tell her that she's an idiot.

    Oh, it's been done!

Found it there - to me it seems a clear indication of talking out of both sides of their mouths  Clearly contradicted the information sent to the school who queried it and not mentioned in the guidelines issued. I despair - I really do - is it too much to hope for some clarity for schools.

ETA - has been updated on gov.ie under frequently asked questions and yes it seems schools can refuse a pupil in that instance.

Here's the piece for anyone who wants a look:

    https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/389bd-topics-being-raised-on-the-back-to-school-helpline/#travel-abroad
If a school has reasonable grounds for believing that its duty of care toward its staff and pupils is being undermined in circumstance where a person – staff member or pupil - has not observed the mandatory requirement to self-isolate for 14 days following return from a non-green list country, it is reasonable for the school to refuse access to the pupil or staff member during this period.

She lost any credibility when she refused to say whether 152 kids in a hall was allowed or not.

Normal Foley back on the scene again, with her bubbles around her neck. God, she just talks poop, she’s not inspiring any sort of confidence at all.

Apparently if you say public health into a mirror 5 times Norma Foley appears!

She doesn't have a clue what she is talking about, simple question what happens to a class/school when a student tests positive for corona....public health public health

Again like them all today “ I don’t accept that”

Not at all, she's very clear, it's not ideal, it's up to each school to manage as they see fit

I'm no fan of the way they've gone about the schools re-opening, but I can't see a whole lot wrong with stating public health officials determine what happens in each case?
