    Redesign it you clowns.

You seem very anxious for strikes etc etc . Unfortunately I don’t get to make decisions at ministerial level. Redesigning the Irish Education system is not in my remit. At this stage I genuinely can’t tell if you are trolling or just given to hysterical hyperbole.

I'm just honestly sickened by how bad the plan is and the pass the parcel blame someone else thing while being complicit in letting it go ahead.

    SICKENED

My clowns comment was levelled at all who came up with the plan, not you or other teachers.

Thats fine - throwing around calks for strikes every two minutes and suggestions to redesign governmental guidelines isn’t conducive to improving the situation. As you feel so strongly perhaps you could voice your concerns to your local TD , Norma Foley , Stephen Donnelly etc. The more the public highlight their concerns to those that do have the power to redesign the Irish Education system the better.
ETA to a/c for clarification in your post

I didn't tell posters to redesign guidelines.

Also it is naive to try complain to official sources about the plan they came up with up. They are trying to brass neck it.

Ye are the ones with the power to stop it.

Did the details of the plan only come to your attention recently?

This whole thing is similar to stages of grief, you seem to be between stage 1 and 2 denial and anger.

Most others appear to have moved on and are now between stage 4 and 5 depression and acceptance.

    Acceptance doesn't equal agreement.

    Acceptance is weak.

Both myself and my partner are teachers. If we go on strike, are you going to pay our mortgage?

I think you are from the government - because the only group that would benefit from teachers striking right now is the government. How convenient that would be - they get the schools closed, but it can never be said they had to go back on their horrendous plans and they don't have to pay the teachers either so loadsa money to spend on Deliveroos out to the Convention Centre.

What can we possibly do, the public don't want to hear it, the unions have gone to ground, government don't care anymore. We have lives to fund, most of us cannot just quit our jobs even though we fear for the safety for our students, ourselves and our families. We are screaming out in every public way we can but people just don't care.

I'm beginning to think he is the owner of a placard making company, hopeful of the business of making "Strike On Here" signs!!

What is the point of having a union if you all just accept whatever is thrown at you?

Jaysus no. Most teachers I know could not afford to strike for very long at all.

No we don't. I brought it up at a branch meeting once and apparently if we strike long enough there is 'something' we can avail of. I can't find any details of that 'something' on the TUI website right now. And I don't know how long 'long enough' is either but I was told that it isn't backdated. I couldn't afford to be without my pay for too long

I think its something like 15/20€a day with siptu. I can't see the teaching unions strike pay being any more.

why are you asking that??? Would it break your heart if they were getting money you dont get is it. Are you so resentful at this stage???? Do you think your going to be mr rich and people are stealing your money???? Get a grip . teachers are going to be at risk here. You should be saying thank you they are even prepared to do this. They dont have to. Health and safety laws dictate that they are putting themselves I cant believe the unions are allowing this but its corruption. Michael oleary has just spread this virus allover europe again and hes sitting with his ugly face and little thin fingers counting his money. Has he called you to celebrate with him. I doubt it

They asked a perfectly valid question, they didn't know that information and now they do thanks to other posters answering them.

    Hardly turning on teachers ffs.

who's turning on teachers? if you read back a page or two you'll see i was standing up for them and criticizing the government plan.

getting hysterical and seeing everyone as an enemy like that will not do teachers any favours by the way.

So anyone who actually studied things, works in the field is a yes man because his opinion is not the same as an opinion of a gobshyte on Internet?

Do you actually have any argument why he is a yes man looking for a cushy job besides not saying what you want him to say?

And that kind of a moronuc post is thanked by at least 5 people. I hope it's not the teachers because you just thanked the message that says education and expertise is not important.
I dunno who the fuck you think you are calling me a "gobshyte" and "moronuc". :D bahaha

Looks like schools are the new €9 meal. It can't be spread there so off in go the high risk teachers. Expect mass resignations in the coming week.
