Might be of some use to people such as the OP who are only getting up and running, don't have a full months data to post but are keen as mustard to compare their output to check if it is in the range for a particular day?

Maybe if the thread was renamed to include the date in the title and people could choose to post/read or not.

    After all that 5.6 KW E 4.2 / W 1.4 only up since Tuesday.

29.9 kwh today and may make 30 kwh by sunset

Spot on. I've only had my system for a week and a bit.

Today was a new record, 35.8kWh

Getting installed shortly and was hoping to keep an eye on this thread daily to see system sizes and outputs to compare. Hopefully a few might keep it updated including the larger outputs from the last few sunny days

3.7kwp system, SW facing in Connaught.

Generation for the last week or so:
    • 07/08 - 24.2kwh
    • 08/08 - 26kwh (highest daily figure since system went in)
    • 09/08 - 21.7kwh
    • 10/08 - 10.8kwh
    • 11/08 - 14.7kwh
    • 12/08 - 19.6kwh
    • 13/08 - 11.8kwh

Our lowest daily figure since we got the system was back on the 24th of July at only 3.6kwh just to give you an idea of the other end of things.

    6.2kWp, (2.8 south, 3.4 west) in Donegal

    01/08 - 16.6 kWh
    02/08 - 25.3 kWh
    03/08 - 18.4 kWh
    04/08 - 5.3 kWh
    05/08 - 18.1 kWh
    06/08 - 19.7 kWh
    07/08 - 25.2 kWh
    08/08 - 35.8 kWh
    09/08 - 23.2 kWh
    10/08 - 21.5 kWh
    11/08 - 24.7 kWh
    12/08 - 29.3 kWh
    13/08 - 24.8 kWh

Average for the month so far, 22.1kWh per day which is 2.2kWh ahead of the predictions I based my payback calculations on.

The one crappy day was not only lashing rain, but also the system was down for a few hours due to work on the house.

4.1 Kwh in Wexford today. Low clouds and the sun never broke through. Dreary and overcast.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,153 ✭✭✭✭DrPhilG

11.4 for me in Donegal. Same deal, grey and miserable all day.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,153 ✭✭✭✭DrPhilG

Ouch. 7.2kWh today. Didn't even cover the daily load. Battery already empty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 118 ✭✭DeclanD54

  • Registered Users Posts: 75 ✭✭davpower

    2.8kwh today, do i win? ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,814 ✭✭✭rx8

    Only 2.4 today and a lowly 1.7 yesterday ;( ;(

  • Registered Users Posts: 451 ✭✭phester28

I have 5 panels east and 3 West.

I would have expected a higher peak in the sun today from the 2.4KWp 8 x 300Wp

Voltages are a little below MPPT at under 30V per panel.

Slightly better day today, although I still won't crack 10kWh by close of play.

7.2kWh so far with a few hours of sunlight left.

And by sunlight, I mean completely clouded light!

There must be something wrong with my monitoring software. Its saying we generated 14.3kWh today. 4.2kw system facing south in Limerick.

  • Registered Users Posts: 118 ✭✭DeclanD54

Maybe not. The weather is so different in the country, the only we can compare is a clear non cloud for us all!
I havent had one since my system is up and running.

Depends what it was like. I was getting 25+ last week on days when others reported 7 or 8. But it was scorching up here.

I expected similar to yesterday's 7.4 and currently at 8.6.
