150 cases linked to the Kildare chilling company

Two of the four Meat factories still open and a third opening Monday morning ......Government needs to be taking control and fast

Why stop there? Just burn down the three countries. No people = no cases. Problem solved!

An even simpler solution; stop testing.

No testing, no Covid, no problem.

No crowds surely? They had a race up here in Sligo on Wednesday.

    Yes no spectators

At least this time around with the nursing homes properly isolated the deaths will not be in any way comparable to the first wave.

    Are they still open?

    Yes there is.

Community transmission is still next to nothing. These cases were anticipated and traced. Its not ideal, but we aren't talking about Melbourne or Florida or NW England, or even Aberdeen.

I think that Aberdeen had 79 cases over a couple of cases before they went into lockdown

2 of the meat factories still open, another one reopening on Monday and another opening in a week according to the news. Jesus Christ. No reporter asking why that’s the case though of course. I can’t deal with the stupidity and lack of questioning anymore

Of course no crowds, the horses won't run themselves and owners and riders will be coming in from all over the country. Ridiculous stuff.

They keep addressing the population like children, it's the bloody meat factories need the schooling.

It's also a load of balls. 110 of them in Kildare, 7 in Offaly and 1 in Laois. Yet Laois is tagged in there as if the lock down is justified. Shameful.

7 in Offaly 6 in Meath.

    Offaly in lockdown

Jesus, do you actually have a life away from this thread??
Witty retorts not your strong point then. I' ll leave you to continue your patrol of this thread.
It's his thread and the rest of us are just are living in it. Hopefully this post slips under his radar. I'm far too sensitive to withstand another chastening. :o

Don't post in this thread again

Easy to see how it escalates from 80 in Brady's ham , I know a guy who works there who tested positive, now his whole family of 6 have tested positive that's from 1 case

All them factories are responsible for loads of cases and are responsible for putting their counties into LOKdown where many businesses won't be able and are not allowed to operate to suppress the virus and to prevent community transmissions. It's madness how them factories are still allowed to operate.

The clowns stopped testing in nursing homes a few weeks ago, starting again in a panic in 1-2 weeks time

    They never learn

Just have to put up one photo in defence of all the Laois-bashing.

    Sadly there won’t be a similar photo-op for 2020.

It's fine and it's only a cluster, take away all the cases in Kildare and Dublin and some of the other counties and the R number is 0. And dont worry about the lasting effects it's no worse then if you crash your car.

But it only takes one of them cases to travel to Dingle, Tralee etc in the past 10 days to to trigger something wider. With the volume of cases it's hard to think it's been fully contained within the boundaries. By the sounds of it there are significant numbers to come over the next few nights.

Lasting effects is an unknown, even to the scientists and medical experts at this point.

Glynn says that most relate to clusters so that is positive.

But all the testing is going into them atm. The rest of the country will probably see an increase now the clusters are too big to control.

Only 300 test today across Laois,Offaly & Kildare. Not enough.

Schools probably wont open this will now probably take 4-8 weeks months of lockdown to control now.
