I forgot this is just a joke to you.

I respect what needs to be done to minimise spread of the virus, I 'm also aware whom are most at risk from the virus plus I also know it is far to early to know what permanent damage may be caused to the very small percentage who may suffer adversely from it. However I don't seek reasons to terrify myself or others.

It would fit on the school bus bumper

If you are not particularly worried about covid why are you posting in nearly every page of these threads for months. Do you feel people need your expertise or are you just trolling .

My child most probably had Covid already. He can go around licking walls, Covid likely poses no risk to him and he likely can't pass it on to anyone else. He'll go back to school when they reopen. But our school reopening plan isn't good and nearly 1/3 of yesterday's cases were community transmission. There is a more than reasonable chance that we will see clusters in schools and schools will have to close again. Anyone with a school child who is not preparing for that eventuality is deluding themselves. It will be great of schools can stay open but realistically they may not.

You realise 1/3 of cases every day are community transmission? That’s not new

The schools will stay open, outbreaks will be dealt on a local basis. Why would you expect schools in Mayo to close if there was a cluster found in Louth. Children's mental health and education is important.

One or two clusters in small towns or villages will lead to a few schools closing. If there end up being numerous clusters in Dublin and a significant amount of schools have to close most likely they will close nationwide. Both because they will pose too great a risk and the 'unfairness' of a large minority of children being potentially left behind.

How have school openings gone in other countries?

many outbreaks? How are they going to keep it as safe as possible?

Close the lid before flushing after you use the toilet
Very simple advice that could reduce the spread but most people don’t think of doing

Maybe direct the advice to the person seeking it?

And others think differently to you. You've been dismissing people and mocking them all morning and there's no reason to be like that because of the way you think.

    - don't lick toilet seats
    - bring your own toilet lid
    - if it's a number 2, bag it and bring it home
    - wear a hazmat suit
    - suba tank and regulator
    - asking someone are they going to keep their child home until their 18

We don't hear a lot of advice on toilets. I am terrified of public or business toilets, especially the cubicles where people defecate.

Me too. I was overnighting with some activist friends down in Cork the week before last. I could just about urinate. It isn’t so easy to hover while defecating so I didn’t bother and just tried to embrace the discomfort until I got back to Sandymount. Needless to say I shouldn’t have been greedy with the nut loaf the night before.

This would be very wrong. We have to do what we can in these times and deal with the others catching up in a different way.

People should have been doing this anyway.

So you're annoyed because I don't want to terrify others by trying to find the worst case scenario I can?
It's a discussion forum you don't like others thinking differently than you? I can only offer one piece of advice , log out.

We need to get on with things now tbh, its up to us to deal with it and not anyone else. If everyone does their part then re-open everything (except nightclubs obviously)

    I don't.

Absolutely agree. It’s seriousness can’t be downplayed. RTE has done a great job so far hammering home the sheer horror of all of this while still comforting us all with warm and familiar faces.

George Lee is my favourite, its almost like he only heard about the virus everytime he appears in front of the camera. So level headed and calm. Admirable.

I don't understand why people treat the forum with this deathly seriousness. I doubt Micheal Martin and co. decide government policy based on what they read on boards.

Great video, should be a TV ad by the HSE. We don't know enough about the long-term impacts, so why take the chance. He has been a great communicator throughout this .

Christ I hope they don't use this or other SM platforms to form policy, or we would be totally ****ed. The doom merchants are very vocal on SM.

I'm sure you believe what you are saying but i'm afraid there is not a hope of what you are suggesting happening.
A large minority? What a strange term.
