No: I will wait for the HSE to recommend
These patients will now be treated as the number of Covid patients us less and the disease is less prevalent because of people wearing masks.

We should have worn masks all along but as slow to get organised, as usual. But in April people stayed at home, so they didn't much need masks, now they are out and they do.

    :D

Completely inaccurate. The numbers have been low since May.
Hardly anyone was wearing mask back then.

Yeah, totally agree Charles. It is up to all of us who follow the rules and listen to experts advise to admonish and shame those who are not holding firm in the face of this terrifying virus. Let us not tolerate those who are blatantly antisocial and disobedient. I remember when these types didn’t follow the 2km rule and put us all at greater risk.

Why should anything be closed? Because 8 people are hospital?

There's 8 people in hospital because everything was closed and the effort by most people sticking to the restrictions .

To think we can all go around with no masks on public transport and in shops and then just open up nightclubs and everything will go back to normal is living in cuckoo land .

Happy to wear it in indoor setting where there are lots of people (or not) when it comes to supermarkets or stores etc.

Will not wear a mask outdoors though ever and actually find it ridiculous when I see people out walking on paths and through parks with them on.

As for the visor....... lol is all I’ll say.

The way this government has handled things since March I don’t think anyone will be made to do anything. So the OP’s rant is useless. He might want masks and visors mandatory everywhere but the likelihood of Both items becoming mandatory would be extremely low.

I’ve taken to showering thrice daily in 70% isopropyl alcohol just to be sure to be sure, it’s excellent at keeping the virus (and vision) out of my eyes.

No problem with mandatory masks on public transport - was on a bus the other day and someone let one off (probably trying to hide a cough). Thank god I was wearing a mask as otherwise it would have tested my stomach.

The curve was flattened without wearing masks. It has remained flat without wearing masks.

You are living in cuckoo land if you think masks and visors are suddenly going to make a difference!

Masks are enough, what you are proposing is like insisting passengers on planes each travel with parachutes. Only last week some worker in a pub here put in a claim for falling because she was wearing a visor.
    https://amp.independent.ie/irish-news/woman-suing-after-fall-on-pub-stairs-says-covid-visor-made-it-difficult-to-see-39396069.html

Mask aren't "enough" - they are too much and complete overreach by the State. Don't wear one.

I think this is a satirical / wind-up account. But I'm not 100% on that. It's hard to know sometimes.
Yeah, he apparently verbally assaulted someone in a service station a week or so ago or was it two people? Pinch of salt! :)

No, don't wear a mask, lets shut down the country again because wearing a mask is too much of an imposition.

Do you know that the virus can enter your body via your eyes? A mask is useless if a viral droplet lands on your eyeballs. High time that face visors were made mandatory along with masks especially with a Christmas shopping just around the corner. Btw people you should don your masks BEFORE you arrive at a stores entrance.

    Good man, great Ad Visor

If they don't make any difference then so be it but I'm willing to give them a go incase they do work what have l got to lose ,

I don't find them comfortable either , I'm not talking about you just the people who won't wear them in general claiming they are too uncomfortable ,do they think everyone going around in masks finds them easy .

I am actually buying up all the disposable painters suits I can get my hands on. People will want more than masks, gloves and visors when the horror of the second wave settles in.

We've had low case numbers for a couple of months now... not sure why we would shut down?

Another anti state comment. What is your real agenda here? Clearly it has nothing to do with the coronavirus.

Nah. They won't. And I know you know that. I'm assuming you think (in some misguided way) that your posts are humorous.

You obviously haven’t been listening to experts. The second wave will be ten times as terrifying as the first wave. The third wave might even be more frightening than that. Masks, visors, gloves etc are postponing the Second Wave.

I thought perhaps you were making a serious point about the Face Shields, but from the above obviously not.
The "second wave" will not be any worse the first, but it is still very desirable to postpone it.

There are still more hold-outs than I'd like. I've noticed a lot of them tend to be groups of families or couples. Mask wearing takes a bit of planning but it's no different to getting used to bringing your bag for life with you to the shops. Going by the behaviour of the families in particular, they clearly don't give a sh*t. No social distancing either in many cases.

Every supermarket, pharmacy and petrol station were open.
Every shop that sells food. (even dealz)

The weather was wonderful as well. There was massive queue's to get into the supermarkets at times.

And everyone was standing 2 meters apart, queuing up, following one way systems, not touching stuff they were not about to buy and generally keeping as far away from each other as possible. Now there is a wider range of shops open, more people are out on the streets and more hanging around indoors locations are open so it's harder to keep the 2 meters distance from everyone.

Wearing a mask doesn't harm you in anyway, but it could prevent you harming someone else.

I pit on “Staying Alive” by The Bee Gees as I mask up before leaving the house. It psychs me up for the day. My cats seem to like it too.
