Big jump tomorrow they’re not reporting weekend cases as much on Monday

Really hope some journalists will ask why they do that. At least split them. So 17 today 18 tomorrow etc...

Why are they doing this? Who isn’t reporting them? The hospitals to the HSE or the HSE to the public?

55 positive tests over weekend and 20 something cases reported, Idk what theyre doing tbh

Yes, an understatement perhaps at that age group. But considering the median age of those infected is 48 I think it is a general enough statement to cover the case data for Ireland.

My issue is that those of the working age are being unnecessarily held back from keeping the economy going . And I don't like that we have one of the worst health services in Europe overseen by the same people distributing advice to those making decisions for the whole country.

you can't just disregard an entire age bracket in your determination of how dangerous this thing is just cause you are in the lower risk bracket.

by the way i agree with you we need to get back to normality and am not in favour of endless lockdowns, but we can't mischaracterise the disease either.

    Is it administrative backlog?

Is there some arseways process that they have in place that delays the release, I can't see why they'd intentionally delay figures when they're obviously available via your own source.

    11 new cases

Expect a big jump tomorrow, they’re holding back 25+ positive tests

    Why holding back cases?

Norma Foley has only been a TD since February. And now she's Minister for Education.
FF got the portfolio, they have very few female TDs, so she got the gig. She's also a teacher so we'll see. The real problem there is the department anyway.

I'm not a fan and think he has an agenda with his questions but think it's good to hear answers too.

That's a fair point. As obviously agenda driven and as not thought through his questions are, there is a benefit in hearing his arguments swatted down so swiftly.

But the man is still an idiot.

Yup agreed, its basic but they just seem to ask the same questions based off the daily cases without any look at the postive test data etc
