Gotta say that gadjet looks like somthing out of the FALLOUT video game,or
a post apocalyptic Heath Robinson contraption. It is actually the neatest thing I have seen in firearms in a long time.

Nah, now this IS Heath Robinson. A Lee Enfield semi-auto. Very steampunk

This lad definitly saved a couple of lives, Rioters got into a empty police car and managed to get a hold of police ARs the video circulating shoes him with an ar-15 over his shoulder while snatching another off a protestor, turns out the one on his shoulder was taken off a lad who decided to pop off 4 rounds in a desnly populated city

He's an ex marine who was working security for a news crew

Just seen that, good bit of design and practical work to get it to function. You'd have endless crap getting that licenced here.

Couple of questions on this gun to facilitate discussion and just for the craic.

It's a Ruger 96 so I'm guessing that's what you'd be licencing? Does the fact that it's modified mean that it's still a Ruger 96 under our extremely complicated firearms legislation?

It's restricted eitherways because of the caliber so I'm guessing the fact that it's a bullpup wouldn't be an issue when applying for a licence as it must be licenced on a restricted licence anyway?

The licence application form doesn't mention how the ammo gets into the gun, either by mag, single feed or in belt form so this shouldn't be an issue? Is this correct?

Once you put down on the form the caliber, the action (lever), the make and model and serial number, then that's pretty much it as regards the gun details, isn't it?

Are you legally allowed to modify guns like that here in Ireland?

Would this gun be Gallery legal?

Are there actually any obstacles to licencing one of these here in Ireland?

Is there a mag capacity limit here in Ireland for lever action centrefires? I know there is for centrefire semi-autos.

By the way, I wouldn't dream of getting one of these, I'm just asking these questions sort of acting the b0llix.

The lever action and trigger action looks shocking by the way. Not at all comfortable looking.
