Going to go look for pneumonia stats in Ireland for the year past.

what is there to ask? theres gonna be loads of errors and unknowns. all countries will be experiencing similar problems, some will be worse, some will be better

Hotels and restaurants are turning away US guests, citing high Covid-19 rates and lax quarantine. Some fear this will backfire

Welcome to Ireland.. or not. Let's see how the businesses who turn away people based on their nationality will fare when the pandemic is over. I'd rather see the government place the travel restrictions, and not leave it to individual businesses.

For those of us who are being cautious:

We can't travel, we can't date new people, we aren't ready for the RestoPubs yet (not the indoor ones anyway), our economy won't recover for years and our goverment are making a complete and utter fcuking balls of things

Not having a great day with it today tbh. There's days when it dawns on you just how long the ramifications of this will be for

I know, i get good and bad days with this too. It does affect ones mental health, seems never ending. The virus has taken every little thing that i actually look forward to. It didn’t take away the things i would have liked it to have taken though. I can’t travel to see my family, it’s the longest i haven’t seen them in 15 years.

I’m fairly confident from what i’m reading that a vaccine maybe ready early next year. You won’t find it coming.

Why? Countries on the green list have an equal or lower IR than here.

It’s a loss about them. Where the f**k do they think they’re going, coming from the virus epicenter of the world to one who had a really good handle on things, because of much sacrifice. Sacrifice they couldn’t do themselves in their own country/states, hence the surge in numbers.

its confusing people, people are being encouraged not to fly abroad, then a list was created of safe countries to travel to

Off world vehicles have been (sort of) admitted to by the Pentagon , made of materials not "of this earth".

Come on, as something more that the world needs that is pretty 2020.

There is no confusion. You can travel to 15 countries without the requirements of quarantine. The DFA has removed the travel advice against travelling to the 15. The advice is normal precautions, follow local health advice and practice SD/hand washing/respiratory etiquette.
The no travel advisory still adheres to other destinations. I'm heading to Italy in two weeks, it's actually safer there than here .

Its not rocket science, the "green list" is a list of countries that people coming from do not need to self isolate for two weeks.

The advise is essential travel only. If you must travel for essential reasons, quarantine/restricted movement isn’t required upon returning from a green list country

I notice though you have to travel through France to get to Monaco, one of the 15, would you not have to quarantine if you had to go through and back through France.

That’s what happened in the crèche which was shut down. Crèche worker returned from holidays in Spain and went straight back to work. Tested positive, then crèche had to close

I'm going by what is stated on the Dept of FA website. It's quite clear, best to leave the nonsensical mutterings to the politicians.

If you afford to stay in Monaco, I imagine you will be getting a private helicopter directly from your private jet.

The government have just tried to be careful with the wording of their green list. Fact of the matter is on the DFA website it simply advises "normal precautions" for those countries.

That's ultimately the advice to follow. People are big enough and adult enough to make up their own mind after that.
