How do that work? I plugged in my location and drew a radius of 5km and it brings me to a park really close to the city but when I search the park on google maps it show up as being 10km away??

5km as the crow flies. 10km by road.

The rules just say 5km they don't say 5km by road, do you think I could get away with showing guards this

    Lockdown extended by 2 weeks.

Leo talking absolute bollõx here. ICU's over run in a matter of days.

The plan is not to flatten the curve but has shifted to suppression. We ain't getting out of this any time soon folks.

Even with severe lockdowns across the globe there's 250K deaths worldwide so far, which are confirmed deaths and are only a partial picture.

Without lockdowns a death toll in the low millions at this stage worldwide would have been quite possible.

You pulled this ludicrously high figure of 400 million out of your bum the last day and claimed that everyone arguing in favour of lockdowns was claiming there would be that many dead.

I'm still waiting for some news source that has a government figure or policy maker quoting this figure to justify the lockdown.

Lockdowns are an unproven health benefit.
Lockdowns are a proven source of economic destruction

Well done Leo. Not a fan but you have to hand it to him.

Articulate and simple. Great speech and exactly what’s needed. We are getting there and what we are doing is working.

Presume there will be some good news if he's going on the Late Late, yeah?

Edit: In the time it took to post, some news actually broke. This site is like it's time-travelled back to 1999.

I'd say so. The rule was 2km from your home. I'd always assumed it was a 2km radius with your home at the centre.

We will be a full 6 weeks behind Spain and Italy regarding economic restarting. This is carnage

The virus is the root cause of these problems. The lock down is a response to the threat posed by the virus.

They need to form an actual government between now and the 18th and put an end to this madness. Bloody hell, I might have to seriously think about relocation at this rate. Another 18 weeks minimum of this.

Now he ****tïng on about imaginary letters he received. Reminds me of "Two pints" Kenny in his pomp.

No the lockdown is a completely knee jerk reaction to a virus that appears to be less deadly the more we learn about it. The restrictions however

Our economy and society never shut down to the extent that theirs did.

You're not allowed to see them because if you do you are a literal murder, or something like that.

This is an absolute disgrace. Nothing until 18th May, even then only some outside work and DIY shops, so another 3 weeks after that before anything meaningful. And this gives no confidence anything will even happen then. They still have no clue when to do anything.

Spain, France, Italy, the worst hit countries say their new normal will be in place by June. We haven't a clue.

We're still completely in the dark. I feel sick.
