Watched Blue Ruin a couple of nights ago - really good, taut vengeance movie - and a rarity nowadays 90 minute runtime, so no padding.
Green Room, from the same writer/director, is also well worth a look. It's not on Netflix.

Not quite as good, but still worth your time is his Hold the Dark, which is on Netflix.

Agree about Green Room; not as good Blue Ruin (which is fantastic), but pretty innovative, considering the sparse set-up/premise.

Didn't see Saulnier's other one, Hold the Dark, though might be dodgy?

Is Tiger King good or would a Louis Theroux documentary suffice? I don’t know why have such little interest in the documentaries Netflix peddles. Maybe I’m trying to be edgy and cool not watching what everyone else is watching but I’m just like why do I care about an 8 part documentary about some lad I barely knew existed.

I dont have much time for netflix documentaries, I tend to look on them as a "based on real events" series rather than a documentary

I actually find myself buying films on Youtube (Despite its awful browse-search function, from a Google company no less) rather then shifting through the dreck on netflix to find something decent

    Nice one, Netflix.

I saw Ozark recommended here and had a gander. It has a clever script and excellent acting, a bit like Breaking Bad with a more competent version of Fargo’s folksy Jerry Lundegaard at its heart. I’m in Season 2 now and flying happily through it. Would love to hear of other Netflix shows like this.

I'd say watch the Louis episode on Joe Exotic and then watch Tiger King. The Louis episode kind of gives you a taster but he got even crazier after that. It's on Netflix too.

Teens maybe, definitely no younger though. There's a lot of adult themes and some pretty dark, violent moments that surprised even a grown up like myself. Leads are teens but adults will enjoy it.

Definitely a 15+ genre. I'm 26 and enjoying it still. Simple ideas but they're executed brilliantly, very refreshing viewing.
