My brother & his girlfriend got engaged during the week!
No real romance..... 2 kids...... But I think they just decided life's too short to wait!

    So good news :)
& we will celebrate soon I hope :)

My partners job (non-essential) is staying open through a loop hole. Just got the msg. I'm so upset. I understand a lot of people have to work through this for the greater good but his job is not contributing so it's just putting lives at risk unnecessarily. So upsetting. Money over lives. Such greed.

    Can you report the employer?

No, it's a massive company and its a valid loop hole but still a loop hole. :(

That's a kick in the head and I'm not surprised you feel crap about it. Money is a serious reason for the rapid spread of this virus. Saw it myself in London a few weeks back.

    I don't know where we're going - Nowhere
But I know where I am - In the feckin house!

Exciting times. The instructions are somewhat limiting for us Laois people. Ok I can walk 2km to the left of my house. So I would see big trees and some green fields.
On the other hand I could walk 2km to the right of my house. So I would see big trees and some green fields.

It's all gone nuts. I wanted to go to Woodies yesterday to get some vegetable plug plants to grow but the radio said that Woodies was having an entire day for only the over 65's. So I asked a (roughly 45-50 year old) colleague in work would she pop in for me. :D I best not type out the 2 words she resonded with :pac:

This needs to end soon, for the good of the economy, to save lives, to prevent adventurous Laois walks and to put an end to ageism in Woodies.

I pay an interesting attention to some here that are worth paying attention to. Most are, but your posts during the nighttime hours for a very long time, have guided me me through crappy times. I may not reply, but they are reassuring. A few other night lovers are great reassurance too. Jaysus, lets move on before I cause war.

Spent a few hours texting my friend in hospital, just chatting and her laughing at all my jokes...so either I am actually funny....or the happy pills have her buzzed off her head!

I think tonight is the first night I've had a woah moment re covid...one of the girls who works for me rang to say her next door neighbors parents have it...mom is ok but the father is in ICU and not looking good...only 52.

Site nearly cleared, machines shutting down, fire escapes and access points secured, emails sent every which way to cover my arse.. Soon time for loud tunes.

Strange day. Had a virtual drink with my colleagues this evening. I miss the people and the place. It's been a home of sorts for a long time and there are life long friends there.

I phoned my Mum at 5. She'd had too many hot whiskeys. I asked her why she had drinks at this stage and she replied that the lemons were going off and had to be used up.

I think I'd get on well with your mum, she has the right attitude. :pac:

It must be hard for you not being able to visit her though.

Super chilled on the sofa, in my usual horizontal position.

Just watching an episode of Big Bang Theory.

I never tire of this show - it’s one of the very few TV sitcoms I really like - but my OH (in the leaba as he has an upset tummy) hates it and won’t watch it with me, so I’m indulging while I can... :D
