While many were predicting a massive upsurge in Irish figures, only three new cases in Ireland since Friday (total 24), what do ya think.

Dying out (here) already? Or just a pause?

    How's our UK neighbour doing?

Not so bad far as I can see. But maybe like ourselves the worst hasn't hit yet.

We are furthest West, so I would follow UK and take it from there. They had zero, then two or three, and now many cases too.

5,000,000 passenger journeys on the tube every day...

how big are the patricks day parades in new york, boston, chicago... it is an irish american thing as much as an irish thing.
Simply no comparison to any other countrys national day.

This might be the year there are more patricks day parades outside ireland than in ireland.

The big American cities have lots of parades to celebrate their diversity. The St. Patrick's parade is just one of them.

And no it's not an Irish American thing, it's an Irish thing. It's our national day. Americans hold their parades on the closest Saturday, not even on the 17th.

It's not hysterical nonsense. Italy's economy will collapse that's almost certain. Look at the death rate, the cost of lockdown.

You're stock reply to everything is hysterical nonsense. I'm not in the least hysterical. Just dry Cork Bol*ixes like you who reply with one emoji replies need to be put in their place.

There's some jump from Italy's economy collapsing to all of the EU falling apart. Why are you resorting to personal insults?

It's a fact that significantly more men than women were ill/dying with the virus in China. I thought that was curious. It was hypothesized that may have been because far more men there smoke than women. I still found it curious so I was wondering whether or not similar was happening in Italy.

So is covid 19 a strain of manflu?

We are still very early in the cycle. The numbers are fantastic from ROI but it's nowhere near 'dying' out just yet. We are behind the curve compared to some countries but it's not realistic to think this trend will continue, in my opinion :)

Loving the argument over St Paddy's Day and it's importance in America in the middle of the coronavirus hysteria. Classic boards.

Given our low population density I'm hoping spread won't be as extreme as other European countries.

A roll eyes with no explanation is an insult. So if you give it be prepared to take it.

Spain, Greece could be in serious bother. Who'll bail them out? It's a possibility. Stranger things have happened.

You give a rolly eyes and nothing else you are only a Bol*lix.

Would not be able to pay me good money to work/be in Ldn this year.

Yes 5m crammed onto the tube everyday, throw in the postcode yoof acid-zombies, no sense of community, the yearly shop fights over xmas TV sales (even in posh stores) etc etc.

Then HydePark planned to become an open air mortuary, at Phase3/4.

Well in the countryside yeah, and ireland has more rural dwellers thanmost countries, but the urban areas Cork, Dublin etc are reasonably dense, Dublin is one of the denser cities in Europe for example.
