    The people here who are trying to downplay the dangers this epidemic are in fact claiming to be able to predict the future.

    The World Health Organization and the world's expert Epidemiologists and Virologists also do not know exactly what the future will bring... BUT they are making really well educated guesses based on the mathematical modeling and their unrivaled experience of previous viral epidemics.

    Given a choice between the opinions of the scientific community and the post truth, anti-scientific, ravings of that orange lunatic in the White House, I know who I will believe.

    Enough of the “it will be gone soon, ’miraculously’ “ , “the warm weather will kill it” , “it’s just like the flu” or trying to minimize the expected death rate.

    Up to 8 metres for a sneeze and 6 metres for a cough.

    Just got on the 46A bus and the Chinese driver has s face mask and surgical gloves on. Found that white odd. I can imagine a lot of people not liking such a thing knowing the face that the only effective time to use a mask is when you suspect you're infected..

    Probably getting it from HSE who were also reporting numbers that were several hours out of date at last nights briefing

    This will defo be a supply side problem though.


    How many people have it? -> limiting factor how many tests do we have?
    How many people are in hospital? -> How many beds do we have?
    How many people in ICU? -> How many ICU beds do we have?
    How many people will die? -> whatever is left over.
